About playing cousins and… coiffures!

Mum was very pissed at me, she was, but only for a while! Then she laughed! Why?

In the middle of the beach, I was nicely on the leash, with lots of humans and human pups around, I started barking. Mum yelled silently I had to stop it. I barked again and started pulling on the leash. To get mum in a bad mood that’s the best thing to do… I know that! Pulling and barking, a lady! Go figure! 😦
Aha! Then we heard another bark, just one, but that was enough to get mum’s attention. She said, sibilant, you see what you get? Others follow your bad example! And that I had to stop pulling! And only then she saw it too! Yes, mum, there is Jara! You see it too? Finally?! 🙂

Jara Van ’t Asbroek is my cousin, you know. We know each other because we see each other sometimes at the seaside, by chance! Today we played! The business-world is in the genes of our family! Running-business, water-business, ball-business. Jara is nice, she brings the ball back to her dad. I think that is a rather stupid game. Anyway we had lots of fun!

And mum… listen! When is my hairdresser’s appointment? It is time, did you see the nice coiffure of my cousin? You see what I mean? 😉 Need a haircut, really! After this heat, I’m done with this curls! 😉 You too, mum? Too much sand in them? 🙂 We agree, my mum and me! Yeeeey! ❤  Shouldn’t have said so when I was barking and pulling! 😉

PS Film is in the end! 🙂

Too much work… but fun too!

These days mum really has too much work. It is the end of something like a year in her library. Students are gone though, but she is still there! She says it wil be better next week: holidays! I understand that word! 😉

But last sunday we were in the old town, strolling around with Dutch visitors my mum knows… They know a lot about libraries! 🙂

Anyway, we were strolling around and dad and the other mum and dad (yes, I know their doggies, already met them!) were visiting Sint Paulus Church. Doggies not allowed, even an aire-lady understands that. So me and my mum we waited patiently outside, in the shadow! And my dogness!
What did I see? Who did I met? An airedale sir! Benjamin! Ben for the friends! He lives next door to the church! Go figure!! 😉

Friendship at first sight, mum said. We were kissing a lot, he even told me secrets! Lots of pics! 😉 ❤

Digging business!… No prey… and almost a big accident!

The huge dogpark was full new fences, remember? Showed you yesterday! They even made lots of new paths with iron! They were digging away one of our hills! Go figure! Disaster is not small!

However, one of the hills is stil intact. 🙂 The one with the nice hole to dig in! So I did. And I did! And I digged more! Mum took the new red blinking thing again, we were on our way home, you know. She was filming and I was digging! 🙂 ❤

And then? Almost big accident: some sand arrived on the red blinking thing. I don’t know how that happened, really, I don’t know. But mum was not pleased at all and… Mum, listen, I did not do it, I was in the hole just and came out! I did not throw the sand, how could I??!

Anyway, I had to stop digging and we went home! 😦

PS Red blinking thing is okay, no harm done! 🙂

Look what they’ve done to my… park!

WWW today was just a half WWW… Told you already about it some time ago. Today I was not only surprised but I was thunderstruck. We came at the huge dogpark. Well mum, look at this: here is some kind of gate? Mum, look there! More fences! Even for us doggies now? No, a festival? Who is that? A human?

Lots of humans, Kita!

What? Music? Is that a mister human, mum! Or a lady human?

No, something you hear, Kita!

Now I understand you: barking and whining and barking again! Why do you laugh? 😦 It often sounds better than barking? You are kidding! 😉 And why can’t I go and see all those houses they were building? There is another new fence! We even can’t go to the water-business part! Really mum, I think this is insane! They are going to have a barking party and doggies are not allowed!

A music party for humans, Kita!

Fences for humans who go to a barking party, I understand you very well, mum! 😉 Okay, I’ll inspect the grounds… 😉

PS In the end I had a great time, I’ll show you tomorrow, I need a nap now…

Yes!!!!! Not one… but three airedales!

Okay, where do we go now? Weather is not that good? What does she say? We are going to see some aire-friends? Now she must be joking my mum! Where will we find aire-friends? Are we going to visit my family Van ’t Asbroek? No? Ppfff… I’ll see it happen… In the car and off we go! 🙂

Mum, to the seaside? Why did you not say so? But this is not our usual trip… Look!!! A big gate is opened and another car is before us! What a surprise! Two other airefriends! Mister Higgins and lady Zohra! What fun!!! 🙂  For the mums and dads too!
We did a lot of talking, running and playing. Weather was a bit better and not too hot! That was a luck, with all my curls… Me, I need a haircut! 😉

Mum, I’m too tired to tell all this, you put the pics with the story, I’ll comment the pics… Now, I first need a nap! 😉

Playing hide and seek with… the ‘Boerentoren’!

Yesterday evening we made a nice walk: me, dad and mum. We were walking near river Scheldt at high tide, I like that! Lots to see!

Mum found another game: she and the red blinking thing were playing hide and seek with the Boerentoren. That tower is very well known! And historical! When the building of it was finished in 1931, it was the first skyscraper in Europe! (Not for very long, but it has been the first and only one!!) Yes, really! Only the cathedral is higher! 🙂
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boerentoren

Where ever you go near the river Scheldt on the left bank, you always see the cathedral! Cathedral is always in the middle of the Antwerp skyline! People in the Middle Ages, when this cathedral was built, were very, very smart! They exactly knew where to build this famous cathedral, right in the middle! Still today, she is always in the middle! ❤
And other buildings can hide behind her… as we saw yesterday. And we show you.

After the hide and seek we were having a rest. Mum and dad did, I was exploring and inspecting the rest-place. Result? Hahahahahaha! See the pic!

Fun on Friday… but serious questions too!

This afternoon, me and my mum we went to the huge dogpark… friday, you know! Big surprises, huge dogpark has a fence these days! And houses too! And trucks? And streets… I do not mind, I’ll worry later, I first will have wet paws… hahaha: running business and waterbusiness! With a brand new friend of my age: Kazan! A black boy! All black just like grandpa before he got old and grey! 😉 We had a lot of fun! ❤

On the way home I said to mum I had some questions… What will happen in the huge dogpark? A music festival? With dancing? When? Beginning of next month? And they are already working at it? Well, mum, it makes me think of the runningbusiness: ten miles of Antwerp! 😉

Tell me, mum, why humans need all those fences when they want to run and play? When we doggies run and play in the huge dogpark, we need no fences… we behave as we should. Do humans need fences because there are not enough doggies to keep them on the leash to prevent them from doing naughty or dangerous things? I really don’t understand, mum! What does she say? She doesn’t get either but history and experience learned us so? Mum who are History and Experience? Do I know these doggies?

Oooh, Kita, no, you don’t… 🙂 Don’t worry girl, within about three weeks your dogpark is again as it was before! I hope…

Me?… A very spoiled lady!

Mum says I’m a very spoiled aire-lady these days! How that is possible? I try to explain it clearly!

As you know, I was ill. Went to the green clothes! Got these nasty syringues to stop peeing a hundred times a day. Syringues worked after a few hours. And then I got all these pills, in little bags with lots of explanations… 😦
I don’t like pills. Grandpa always said they are a usefull and efficient horrors and they are to eat, that was important for grandpa: eating! Sso he swallowed his pills with pleasure every day, just like that! 🙂 And he had to take many: six or seven, I remember, big ones and small ones. 😦

Okay, back to my pills: I do not swallow every pill just like that! I’m smarter! If I don’t want to eat them, mum puts them in something yummy I normally never get: chicken or cheese… Twice a day, my friends!!! 🙂
This morning, no cheese or chicken left! Ohlalala! Pills must be taken anyway! So? I had a wonderfull Spanish feast: mum wrapped all my pills in two (!) pieces of Chorizo salami! 🙂 ❤

Suggestion for all my aire-friends: don’t swallow your pills if you have to take some without them being wrapped up in Chorizo! My dogness, that’s yummy!

A small step for aire-hood, a … giant leap for Kita!

Since I feel a lot better and I am more active again, mum and dad decided to get my thought on something else than ‘peeing’! hahahahaha! I really did agree! So off we went for a nice walk in the city! 🙂 ❤

But to go there, there are two possibilities: on foot by the tunnel or by metro. Metro!! Since mum and dad know that the moving stairs to get in and out the metro are not forbidden for big dogs, they were saying they should learn me that. They saw several dogs doing that! I heard them talking the other day! 😉
I did help a little paw! Today, I wanted to go by the moving stairs, I pulled a bit to tell mum and dad I just wanted to try!

We tried! I like it! We did it several times. I acted as a full grown well educated lady who knows everything about city travelling by metro and moving stairs! 🙂 As if I already did this a hundred times: hop on and hop off! And sniffing around to know all the stair-news! 🙂 Pics and video available! 🙂

!!!!!!!!! To reassure all those worrying about my moving-stairs-life: I only will go on them with dad: if something goes wrong or one moment I get afraid, he always can pick me up and carry me! When I am alone with mum, well, we take always the not-moving-stairs! Because she can’t carry me that long and also because she needs the exercise! 😉
