Free friday?… Beach!!!

Not very ofen, but I agree with my mum in this case… We can be happy that Belgium is a little country and more important: Belgium is near the Northsea! 😉 So where ever you are in Belgium, the beach is never far away! 🙂 And that’s good news! Ike and Sam in Wyoming: you have the very big spaces, we have the sea. When your mum and dad take you on a tour to admire all that big space, well we go on a tour to see the sea! 😉
And for all the friends down under who are near the beach or in big spaces, well we have the Nortsea… 😉

Early spring and a free friday? = We go to the beach!
That’s what we did last friday! We were at the beach! In the morning, it was high tide, and then the beach is not big! So this time I could run from the sea into the dunes… Mum prefers low tide, not me…
Although I was not very sure of all this, mum disappeared a few times and I had to look for her. Really, mum can be so abstracted and then she does not know where to go, and which is the right direction. I really have to keep an eye on her or she gets lost! 😉 – That’s why my name is Kita = Japanese for North. I’m the one who always knows where is the North! That’s what mum’s human pup says! 🙂 🙂

By the way, I was in the mood for a fototoot so enjoy the pics and dunes-film (after the pics)!! No music in the film, so everybody can see it… you dream some music, I say! 😉

Football, soccerball… whatever… funball!!!

My mum is so busy these days but finally she finds some time to publish the film of me and the big ball I found!

The biggest fun we had, is not in the movie! We were playing football! I did put the ball at her feet, and her foot ‘pitched’ the ball away, I was running for it and my nose was pitching, then came my mum, running and her foot got the ball away again! We did that untill mum was so tired she had to sit down on the bench in the dogpark (far too quickly of course!!!). But playing and filming at the same time was not possible… I regret that… 😦

Great fun and… a spectacular good girl.

I told mum to put as title: Great aire-lady surprises mum and dad! So, she didn’t… but I am going to tell it anyway!

Yesterday, mum and dad were both away at the same time! In the middle of the day!  That nearly never happens, one of them is there, most of the time… Gone they were! For a very long time!  For more than five hours! This Kita thinks that’s very long! When I was still a baby, I went to holidaymum! That’s great. Now that I’m an adult, mum was thinking that Grandpa and me could stay home and do the guarding!!

Grandpa stays in the livingroom, and me? In the kitchen! I shall tell you this: I did no countersurfing although there were bananas (little bit hidden…) and oranges for fruit juice. I did not chew on the blanket in my bed. I did not destroy one of my safe toys. What do you think about that?
I chewed on my very big buffalo-bone and I did sleep a lot. Mum and dad said I was a very good girl! Dad took us to the dogpark when he arrived.

There’s one disadvantage at being in the kitchen: there is no tv-typing-machine to tell you about this big ball I found in the dogpark! Me and mum were playing with it a few mornings ago! First I was playing alone and that is kept in the blinking thing. The big fun though was when mum and I were playing real football, as on the tv! It was a very big pity, mum could not play and film at the same time! And there was no one else!!! 😦 😦

Anyway, enjoy the pics – Film follows tomorrow!! Just click on them to see how big the ball was! And how I tried to peel it… did not eat it though!!! 😉 I love the pics, but mum said the light was not good… Really, there’s always something if you believe her! 😉

Midget… medium lady… giant!

Last wednesday I had a very busy afternoon! My dogness, yes!

Me and my mum, we went to the dogpark. We stayed there for almost 2 hours: weather was very nice and mum said we should enjoy spring! She learned her lesson, since I told her! 😉

First there was Kiyo. I know this midget who thinks he is a giant since long. We played quit some time! Then I inspected my tree. Mum sat on it, on the lower part of course, she does not want to climb! Then I did some cutting on a fallen branch. And then…

New dog in town and in our district!!! I had never seen a ‘cane corso’ in my whole live… But now I met one: Cayto. This sir is a giant, but he really acts like a midget… He plays, he wants to be cuddled all the time… Grandpa came to the park too and said Cayto thinks he is a lap-dog, which is so crazy with his size. But he agreed that he is a very nice new friend. Grandpa did approve him being in the dogpark and got the usual respect he gets from every dog. How he does that, I don’t know… must be because grandpa is old and grey!!!
Cayto has a grandma Stafford-sister too, but I don’t know her name. She’s friendly but does not play!

So, you see, my wednesday was busy! 😉 Love those wednesdays!

Airedale lady… rescues mum… ;-)

Still a few stories to tell from ages ago: carnival at the sea…

One day we came home and I told my grandpa Lennox I am a rescue-dog, just like him. He always tells he is a rescue-dog! He laughed, and laughed and laughed harder and harder and more… I thought he would get that kidney-thing again or something at his heart if he would not stop laughing at me! At the end he finally stopped! Thank dogness!

So I had to explain him why I was thinking I was a rescue-dog! Well, I rescued my mum! We were at the beach and there are little rivers and little ponds on the beach, made by the sea. When tide is coming up, well, that makes sometimes that there are beach islands. Mum and me were very busy: I was playing with a black labrador and doing funny things and trying to wink and… and mum was fototooting… And then, I saw it… we were on an island! I told mum to be quick and to follow me before we would get drowned… euh, at least before her feet in her boots would be drowning…
I had a difficult job! I hate deep water, but I found where mum could pass the sea-river! So I rescued mum! I am a rescue-dog!

Grandpa still did laugh a bit but at least he understood that I rescued mum, which he appreciated. 😉 She gives us dinner, he says… 😉 But he still says I’m not a rescue-dog: I am with mum and dad since I was seven weeks old. He first lived elsewhere for three years and was adopted by mum and dad, that makes him the rescue-dog of the family, he says, not this aire-lady…

Anyway, all was in the blinking thing!!!! With the wind and the noise of the sea included! 🙂

Life on the wild side… Yihaaa!!!

Told you yesterday that I found lots of things on my mum’s tv-typing-machine! To be honest: she is the one showing me… 😉

Anyway, in these carnival-holidays (remember that? – seems long ago…) we were at the beach. And at some moments, my grandpa lennox forgets he is a grandpa now and that he should act as a grandpa… just as I act as a lady (when I feel like it…). So sometimes my grandpa does not feel like acting as a grandpa…
Mum is not prepared at that, nor is the blinking thing… but she captured some of his silly non-grandpa-actions… 😉 As well as my non-lady-actions… in deep water!!!

Result: a little movie with bizar movements of grandpa but also of the blinking thing, hahahaha! Hope you don’t get dizzy while looking… 😉 because pics and film are mixed… 😉

Grandpa and this aire-lady in… a car fototoot!

Remember that my mum had this carnival holiday some time ago? We went to the seaside and I found a lot of interesting pics on mum’s tv-typing-machine! Today is the car-fototoot! Tomorrow something else!

Hate to admit it, but the big fototoot star of today is not me but my grandpa Lennox!  But you will also see he is still a bit of a macho, grandpa or not! When we are in the car, he takes all the place and I can’t do anything about that! It has been since the beginning like that. But now I’m a fullgrown lady and I want more place…
No way! He gets angry if I take too much of the couch in the car. And mum and dad??? They don’t say anything! 😦  They say we should negotiate ourselves and be good dogs. “Point final!”

Well, see for yourself! Surely the last pic!!! 🙂

Small, smaller, smallest… and the giant lady…

It’s wednesday today! Mum says we have to wish a happy hump day to Ike and Sam and surely their buffalo’s! Well, to greet the last ones, mum made the perfect pics in the dogpark a few minutes ago! 😉 🙂 How that?

We met Elvis! Elvis is a very kind little fellow of 10 weeks old! (a chiwawa) So tiny… I never saw that before, not even at holidaymum’s place. His dad said I was a very, very gentle and soft lady. He would like all doggiegents and doggieladies to be like me! I asked my mum immediatly if she heard that good enough!

Because she was not pleased with me before Elvis came in the dogpark! Why? This lady refused to bring the ball back to her! Why did she throw it in the first place! If she wants it, she should keep it when she has it. That’s my strategy! 😉

I could keep the ball, mum wanted to leave the dogpark without me! Oh no, quick, I sit next to her. She puts me on the leash and I don’t have to give the ball???? I can take it home??? First a little fototoot with the flowers. She makes me take the ball and carry it all the way home, I tell you! She has to do something about her manners! A lady, walking in the street, with a ball!!! My dogness!
When we came home I did not touch that ball anymore! She can have it and keep it!

We’ll see, Kita, we’ll see! You carry it back yourself this evening! 😉

In the middle of town!… Big bear!!!

After the carnival beast, well, it was not over yet! Another weird situation!

Me and mum, we take a walk in town. No carnival anymore, nice: less noisy! Lovely weather, so we like that! But my dogness… Look there! Wafwoefwafwaf! Why does the little dog not bark? Waf, grrr, woef!

Kita, shut up! Stop it!

Mum, but look, run! I’ll defend you! Wafwoefwaf!
Why is she laughing? Why, my mum, is she laughing? And why is she going nearer???? And look! That lady in the wheelchair is laughing too! Euh??? Shall I have a close look too? I’ll do some sniffing! This bear seems alright to me. Okay, mum, you can approach, it’s safe!
The laughing lady in the wheelchair is very friendly. I give her some kisses. She says I’m the sweetest dog ever! You hear that, mum, you hear it??? Oh, and she will take a picture of me, the bear and my mum. I can show everybody I have a bear-friend, she says. But it’s a bit a pity, the very nice lady says she doesn’t want to be in the pic too! Okay, that’s alright.

Carnival?… Noisy beast…

Mum says she is a lucky mum! Of course she is: she has me! 😉 Yes! And she also says she is lucky that I’m not afraid of noises: firework, thunder, music… whatever!
My grandpa does not like it. Imagine, my strong grandpa is afraid of thunder and firework… Something went wrong when he was young, thinks my dad…

Anyway, this week we saw a very noisy beast! Carnival!!! What a situation: very big, even very huge persons, musicians with noise and all the human children dressed as animals and wearing other stupid costumes! My mum is really lucky I’m not afraid, indeed. “Mais trop, c’est trop!” I had enough of it after some time and I pulled on the leash to go to the stairs in the park… For once, mum did agree???!!! She came with me??? To stairs??? She hates them, makes her back ache…

Well, this time, we went up all the way! 😉 I waited nicely for her, yes, I did… It was great up there: we saw the big, bizar persons too! 😉

We had to get back downstairs too… That’s not my cup of tea, then I’m very prudent! Must keep an eye on my mum, of course! 😉

Yes, this was a bit special, this long walk. Mum was very tired! Me, no! Not me, I’m never tired, I just needed a very long nap… 😉
