Fun on Friday… but serious questions too!

This afternoon, me and my mum we went to the huge dogpark… friday, you know! Big surprises, huge dogpark has a fence these days! And houses too! And trucks? And streets… I do not mind, I’ll worry later, I first will have wet paws… hahaha: running business and waterbusiness! With a brand new friend of my age: Kazan! A black boy! All black just like grandpa before he got old and grey! 😉 We had a lot of fun! ❤

On the way home I said to mum I had some questions… What will happen in the huge dogpark? A music festival? With dancing? When? Beginning of next month? And they are already working at it? Well, mum, it makes me think of the runningbusiness: ten miles of Antwerp! 😉

Tell me, mum, why humans need all those fences when they want to run and play? When we doggies run and play in the huge dogpark, we need no fences… we behave as we should. Do humans need fences because there are not enough doggies to keep them on the leash to prevent them from doing naughty or dangerous things? I really don’t understand, mum! What does she say? She doesn’t get either but history and experience learned us so? Mum who are History and Experience? Do I know these doggies?

Oooh, Kita, no, you don’t… 🙂 Don’t worry girl, within about three weeks your dogpark is again as it was before! I hope…

Me?… A very spoiled lady!

Mum says I’m a very spoiled aire-lady these days! How that is possible? I try to explain it clearly!

As you know, I was ill. Went to the green clothes! Got these nasty syringues to stop peeing a hundred times a day. Syringues worked after a few hours. And then I got all these pills, in little bags with lots of explanations… 😦
I don’t like pills. Grandpa always said they are a usefull and efficient horrors and they are to eat, that was important for grandpa: eating! Sso he swallowed his pills with pleasure every day, just like that! 🙂 And he had to take many: six or seven, I remember, big ones and small ones. 😦

Okay, back to my pills: I do not swallow every pill just like that! I’m smarter! If I don’t want to eat them, mum puts them in something yummy I normally never get: chicken or cheese… Twice a day, my friends!!! 🙂
This morning, no cheese or chicken left! Ohlalala! Pills must be taken anyway! So? I had a wonderfull Spanish feast: mum wrapped all my pills in two (!) pieces of Chorizo salami! 🙂 ❤

Suggestion for all my aire-friends: don’t swallow your pills if you have to take some without them being wrapped up in Chorizo! My dogness, that’s yummy!

A small step for aire-hood, a … giant leap for Kita!

Since I feel a lot better and I am more active again, mum and dad decided to get my thought on something else than ‘peeing’! hahahahaha! I really did agree! So off we went for a nice walk in the city! 🙂 ❤

But to go there, there are two possibilities: on foot by the tunnel or by metro. Metro!! Since mum and dad know that the moving stairs to get in and out the metro are not forbidden for big dogs, they were saying they should learn me that. They saw several dogs doing that! I heard them talking the other day! 😉
I did help a little paw! Today, I wanted to go by the moving stairs, I pulled a bit to tell mum and dad I just wanted to try!

We tried! I like it! We did it several times. I acted as a full grown well educated lady who knows everything about city travelling by metro and moving stairs! 🙂 As if I already did this a hundred times: hop on and hop off! And sniffing around to know all the stair-news! 🙂 Pics and video available! 🙂

!!!!!!!!! To reassure all those worrying about my moving-stairs-life: I only will go on them with dad: if something goes wrong or one moment I get afraid, he always can pick me up and carry me! When I am alone with mum, well, we take always the not-moving-stairs! Because she can’t carry me that long and also because she needs the exercise! 😉

Woef and… to the green clothes!!! :-(

Thursday morning before work we went to the little dogpark. I was tired and did not want to play… Why? I got up three times at night, so did mum because I had to pee! When I was not playing, but only peeing, mum hurried to the pharmacist to get me some CranberryActive. (She almost arrived too late at her library!) She was thinking about an urinary infection. The cranberry would help… It did, for 36 hours… 🙂

This morning mum was on the phone with the green clothes, I did hear it! 😉 I did not eat my breakfast, it still is there, untouched. 😦 Off we went… Yep, mum was right about the infection. My pee told so! Me, I did not really understand how the pee did tell that, never heard of talking pee! It had to do with colours. Rest of the pee is to the lab now.

Me? I was examined which I do NOT like, really not! But dad hold me and mum took my snout with two hands. She does not often do that but when she does, she seriously means: keep still and quit! So I did! I even got two syringes in my neck! But I was good and got some dried chicken. I did eat the dried chickn, not my breakfast! 🙂

Now, we are home with a lot of pills for the next 5 days! Yeeey! Lots of cheese and chicken will come my way to make me eat them! hahaha! 😉 And me? I’m resting! Mum is reading her magazine about dogs! It is about airedales again! 17 years ago, it was too and my family was in it! Not this time though… 😦

By the way: this lady still has her girlie figure! She really has! My weight: a very nice 24, 700 kg. (54 pounds), althoug I’m rather tall for a lady. (63 cm= 24.8 inches at the shoulder). And the vet said this lady has very beautiful teeth! 😉 Thank you buffalo-skin!

Blue, blue, blue… and a sock!

Last weekend we were at the seaside! Yes, I know… I already told you so many times about the beach and the sea and the birds and… But I like it very much, so does my mum. I’ll tell you about it again today!

And I’ll tell you a secret! SSsstttt, do not tell anybody, will you?! We got up very early, real early, earlier than on weekdays to go to the seaside… Doggies only are allowed on the beach on the leash nowadays, you know. But that early on sunday, there is nobody, really nobody! We were all alone and it was low tide and we went to France, oh yes, we did some walking first! And then, me and mum were a bit naughty: I could run of the leash for some minutes, almost ten minutes! Mum made a video! You’ll see me and the French seagulls and the French buildings! 😉

I found a sock and played a while with it! And then naughty times were all over. Back on the leash! For the whole summer, mum says! I’m very happy mum has this very long leash of 10 meters… so I can still summersniff around  on the beach! 🙂 ❤

No way! … I will NOT jump here!

As you know, we live near the big river Scheldt. We daily walk near the river, and there is a part of this walk… a bit special!

I step up a kind of alley that’s higher than the big path. It is near the water. People can sit on this part too! I like to walk on that!
BUT… In the end my small path is very bizar! It grows higher! And then it stops… 😦

Big problem: it is high!!! And I will NOT jump, from high up there. You hear me quite well: I will NOT jump! I say it, every time: Wafwaf! And no, I won’t come off earlier neither! I am an airedale, lady or not… 😉
I like to climb on paths and trees, but I will NOT jump down, I want to walk back down, all my life long!

So what happens every time? I stay up there, I will NOT jump off at the end, I return!!! before I turn, I give mum this big grinny smile! 😉 Oh yes… and I jump off when I want to! 😉 Like this game! 🙂 ❤

When mum is in a hurry, she takes me off and puts me down, that’s less amusing of course… 😦

WWW and… being in the Irish business!

Well, this WWW we had another accidental “rendez-vous” with one of my (library-)mum’s colleagues! That colleague is the mum of four Irish Wolfhounds! And one of them, black Kato, had a litter of nine pups 15 weeks ago! That’s quite a gang, I can tell you! 😉

So this afternoon I was in the Irish business of playing and running. 🙂 That’s very tiring, they are much bigger and faster! And… they love the water! They went for a swim, I wettened my belt! 🙂 And then, when we were returning to go home, I saw that ball in the water. Of course I wanted that ball! I tried to get it! Just when I arrived and could pick it up, it floated away again. 😦  So I was a pissed and frustrated airelady and I hopped out of the water as quick as I could. (red thing did not quick enough the clickclickclick at that moment-hahaha-you only see the end of the hopping). Mum said my face was priceless! 😉

Anyway, it still stands: I like wednesday afternoons and rendez-vous!

Little exercise in… tug-of-war-fighting!

My mum does not like fighting! She even does not like tug-of-war-fighting. That’s a pity, because my grandpa Lennox always said it is so much fun! He had that heroic story about it… When he was at mum’s and dad’s place in the very beginning, he was three years old and very, very strong! (he once pulled mum into the hospital, but that’s another story!)
So he was very strong and did not know any command! He had to learn a lot. So at a certain moment after training, dad played tug-of-war with him. Grandpa was dad’s first dog… They were playing but then grandpa thaught he was stronger than dad and got angry! He wanted to be the alpha, he said… So they got in a bit of a real fight!  Who won? Not grandpa! Go figure: how could he ever think he could win from dad??? 😉 He still regretted that when he was 15 years old, he did admit that! 😉

So, now and then, dad plays tug-of-war with me! I’m not half as strong as my grandpa was. Thinking about his story, I just play: I don’t try to fight! I don’t get in any fight! Real fights are never good, says my mum! And in this I do agree with her! That happens sometimes, you know, that we agree! No fights, just playing! That’s fun… but difficult to make pics of! 😉

Sunday?… No, Business Day!

Weather is not that good! Many, many clouds and a bit of rain too. Never mind, mum, we go to the huge one, don’t we! Ha, she says yes! I know it: it is sunday morning… no library mum clothes! 😉

Sunday? My dogness! No, it really was a business day! First of all, they started the festival works in the huge dogpark. They already were mowing a big deal of the huge plain… Lots of flowers already gone. So, there we started the first business: fototoot business! 🙂 In the end I really was tired of it! Grrrr! 😉

Then fun started! Bo and Rea were there! Playing in the new sand, men were plowing some parts too! Never mind that too! Sand is big fun to play in! Second business in practice! Digging business!
But with Rea and Bo, no dull moment! Yep: running business opened!

I would have liked mum carrying me home… but you know her! She is stubborn and she says that real ladies should walk, even after too many business occupations! 😦 At home, I went down and I stayed down for hours! 😉
And mum says I bring the whole damned park home… Think it does not please her too much today… 😉

Me, Rea and… the running-business!

Huge dogpark, this morning! Yes, friday, you know!

Me and Rea (sorry grandpa, it was me and Rea, yes!) we were having great fun. We did not see each other for a long time! So we had some playing and running to do! 🙂 Rea is a labradoodle and she likes playing and running as much as I do! And you know the best news? She does not swim neither! She stops when her belly gets wet! Isn’t that great? A real labradoodle-lady!

And even better news? She has a very nice mum! 🙂 Oh yes, she has a mum with treats! ❤ We even got several treats! From her mum and my mum!
Don’t dare saying that this morning was not a good one! 😉 Pics and video will prove everything!
