Sunday-lady???… Stinky bandit!!!

This sunday morning, very early for a sunday, we went to the huge dogpark. Got a lecture about staying clean this time on the way to it! I was explained that we would stay in the sandy part and that I had to keep myself dry and clean. Sunday, getting out and no time for procedures? Don’t know what she means…
Can I inspect my wood business, mum? Yes, she said, that part we take. Okay, that’s okay for me… All went well… not the end… Mum was not pleased, to put it mildly… It was not my fault though, mud attacked me! Mum did not believe me, she made a comic about it! 😦

Dangerous new business!… circus tightrope… ;-)

Yesterday sun was shining bright. In the afternoon me and mum we made our long riverwalk near the Scheldt. We had fun. Surely me, I had fun. Think mum was a bit afraid some moments. I was not, really not! Sssst, if mum sees this she will say I’m a good liar, don’t believe her! 😉

Why was she afraid? I always climb on things… Most of the time it is not dangerous! Really not! But now… Suddenly mum said:  Kita, you are walking on a rope… My goodness, you can go in the circus business! Just be careful! She was very right. Did some “rope-walking” for quite some time… 🙂

Little further… I had a problem… No, mum, you know very well, I do not jump from heights, that’s too dangerous! I walk back and jump over there! Mum, you don’t forget to walk near the big wooden man, did not inspect him today!
And can we pass by the beautiful ship too, to show Maurice and Dusty? Yes, will we??! Great! Are we going to ring the big bell? Can they hear it? And we show the anchors too?
What do you say? You are tired? I’m not! 😉

But I confess: I did a very long nap at home, before dinner. And a very long nap after dinner. 😉

Me?… A beautiful and proud Van ’t Asbroek!

There is a very old Flemish saying that goes like this: “Mijn kind, schoon kind”… You can translate it literally as follows: ” My child, beautiful child”. Humans use the expression when someone is bluffing about her/his child although there might be not to be bluffing about…, to express that you often think better of your own child  as of someone else’s… Hope I got this right, grandpa told me long ago what this is about… so hope I did not forget… 😉

Well, that’s what is happening to  mum today. 😉 Every time we go to the huge dogpark these days, mum says I come back as a stinking swamp monster! Paw plunger, wash cloth, towels, brush, comb… they have lots of work to do…

Today after the whole procedure + the scissorsthing too, mum noticed something I already know since very long time. She said: you really are a very beautiful aire-lady. Of course, mum, I’m a Van ’t Asbroek, remember? My mum Funnygirl was beautiful too and Apollo was my granduncle and Desmond was my grandfather! Do you realise that?
Anyhow, this time I could not agree more with her… but: “Mijn kind, schoon kind”…, n’est-ce pas? 😉

She did take the blinking thing though to make some pics! Last pic shows why I was a very good and smiling model today! 😉

WWW-day!… Like you to meet Rhea!

Wednesday? Check. No rain? Check. Warm boots for mum? Check. Warm coat for mum? Check. Treats for me? Check. Blinking box? Check.

Off we go, to the huge dogpark! yeay!
I had quite some runs, keeping my running business under controle, you know! Water business is not doing too well… water disappears in the huge dogpark. There still is, but lot less!

Mum, look, another doggie! A shepherd of six months old: Rhea. Come one, little one (yes grandpa, I’m the oldest right here and now!), let’s run and play! We did! Learned her to get her butt in the air, showed the flying business and the running business! In the end, Rhea was a bit tired.

You too!

I was not, mum! I only was very dirty! 😉 So at home… paw plunger party: check! 😉 Wash cloth procedure? Check! 😦 Brush procedure? Check. 😦 Combing procedure? Check! 😦
Chew-shoe in bed? CHECK! 😉 🙂 I love WWW-days! ❤

PS Mum was not pleased with the blinking box. When it is cold outside, she says it eats too much and goes asleep. Wont work anymore. Can’t blame the box, I take a nap too after my dinner. We only have a short film though…

Seaside-walk… with issues!

So we were at the seaside, also on this sunday… Weatherman said it would rain… Did not sea any rain, me! Just clouds and … sunshine! But wind!!! Wind!!! And more wind.

This morning’s walk was complicated though! First I exercised again to walk on 2 paws. It seems to amuse mum, so when I’m in a good mood I try it. She got pics of it! It is not easy though! Not at all! See for yourself! Butt was right in the air, but never long enough to go on walking! 😦
That was the first complication. Never mind, we went on, and I ran!

Then there was the issue with my tongue that made mum laugh! Tongue was hanging out of my mouth in a funny way she said… ??? Sometimes mums are not understandable! 😦

Biggest issue of the day? My ears! My dogness! Could not keep them down! 😦 Must have been a rather odd ‘Shepherd-sight’ on an airedale-body… But don’t panic: ears are all right again, since we are back home! 🙂

When mum said we were going home, I sat down for a sit-strike and I was telling her that I did not agree! 😉 She said: okay, as you please, but I go home… What can a lady do? Follow her mum of course… maybe she was a little tiny bit right: I was tired… ssssttt, don’t tell her! 😉

A lady with a beard… at winter-seaside!

Grandpa Lennox always laughed a bit at me… He said ladies don’t have beards! Oh, yes, I know better than that! My doggiemum Funnygirl explained us that when we were still at her place. She explained to all the baby-boys and baby-girls of our litter-family that airedales have a beard! Dale-sirs have a beard and so do dale-ladies! I had to tell grandpa again and again… 😉

But I have to say it is not always practical, having a beard. 😦 Today for example! Mum and dad said that it was time to see the winter-seaside! Off we went. Great! We were walking on the beach. I ran a lot and even played with another doggie. But also: I played some foot-bottle with dad. I found an empty bottle, he kicked it away with his foot and I ran for it, took it out of the sand, ran with it. And then we started all over. Fun, fun, fun!

Foot-bottle is nice, very nice. This time it was not grandpa who laughed at me, but mum! She said my beard was quite funny! The blinking thing did his work! I saw it… Not too ladylike, all this sand in my lady-beard! 😦

PS Mum thinks I’m learning and exercising to walk on two paws, with mu butt in the air… 😉 That’s what she said about some pics… 🙂

Wintertime… great time!!

Today was not WWW-day, but FFF-day! Fun-free-friday!

This morning it was so very, very cold we did not go to the huge dogpark, but this afternoon sun was shining and off we went. Wind was very cold! Very cold! My mum did complain, she is still a softie, even with the new boots on! Told her to keep moving… hahahaha! That’s what she says to me! hahahaha 😉

Waterbusiness was not great today: glass all over the place! I could run on it, but mum made a hole in the glass with the new boots! A deep hole! She was not pleased at all! Foot stayed dry allright but the boot was not clean anymore! Paw plunger, mum, I said, no problem, paw plunger! hahaha! That’s what she says to me! hahahaha! 😉

Then we met Lou, a very nice and friendly  and young Vizsla! We ran and played! Tell you something, in a quarter of an hour time, there were 5, yes 5 Vizslas in the huge dogpark! We never saw 5 Vizslas together, mum and me! What a coincidence! One was a pup of four months old! So cute! ❤

In the end we had to go home, quite a pity… FFF always is too short, don’t you agree? 🙂

Nothing special… just very fine!

Very early this morning, light was just beginning, we went to the huge dogpark, not for long… No, but I had my running business controlled and that’s quite okay.

Mum always says one has to appreciate little things in life, then they are all special and that makes aireladies (and aire-sirs) and humans happy! 🙂

So a litttle run at the little bit icy huge dogpark, that’s a little thing to appreciate and it makes this lady happy! 🙂 ❤

Me and my mum?… We love our city!

My (library-)mum has to leave early some days… These are the days we go to the little dogpark nearby to run a bit and then we go back by another way, a longer way! We go to the river Scheldt. I like that! Lots to see and smell!

That’s the moment sun is wakened up by someone and slowly gets out of her bed… That’s the moment bunnies disappear between the grass. That’s the moment too that birds start singing in the trees… Mum says that spring is very near: you see, feel and hear it coming, she says… Although it is still freezing at night.

That’s the moment of the beautiful light and colours, mum says… I see the light, I believe her about the colours! That’s the moment we take pics too…

Every morning it is different and every morning it is beautiful! Yes, me and mum, we love our city!

Your spaghetti?… Makes noise, mum!

This morniing it was raining cats and dogs but off we went to the huge dogpark! And who do I see there, far away? Lucien, an old friend from the tree-dogpark! I run as fast as I could! Mum did not understand why and where I was running so fast! I see better than she does, surely when it rains because her extra eyes are wet from the rain… hahahaha!

So Lucien and I we run a lot, far away, mum could not see us anymore… and not only because of her wet extra eyes! Because we were behind the trees and sand heeps. We played with my friend Hana too. Not many pics: blinking box does not work in the rain… 😦 That’s a pity!

At noon, mum was making spaghetti. I missed the part of the cutting of the orange sticks because I was napping after all that running! That was a pity! But mum kept me an orange stick! She calls it a carrot or something…

But then: fun of the day: while spaghetti is cooking, mum always gives me some of this very, very narrow sticks… They make this special noise when I chew on them and they are so difficult to take from the ground. 😦 But mum helps, luckily… And it’s difficult to spot them between the fur of my paws! 😦
Inside, without rain,  the blinking box was working well! 😉
