On the road again… to farm-life!

We are back home and I’m tired, but I have lots to tell! Yes, we were on the road again. We went to see the mum and dad of my French friend Mano. But Mano is at the Rainbow Bridge now, galloping around with my grandpa. Life at the farm is a bit different but not dull at all! 😉

I was practicing my hunting-business! Oh yes! My dogness, there was work to do! In the meadows there is a kind of plague of voles at the moment at Mano’s place. I thought I could offer some help! That’s me: I try to be kind if I like what’s on the program, you know! 🙂 Mum was not as pleased as I was! 😉 Pics will show you why… Made a bit a mess of this lady… 😦

I like the farm but I don’t like the cows! They are to big for this city-lady. So I bark at them!!! They even do not batting an eyelid… they are not afraid of me!!!

I’m going to have a nap! Rest of the stories are for tomorrow! So: to be continued!

Lady Kita goes in the … surprises-business!

On mondays mum is a library-mum till late in the evening. So I decided to go and get her. Of course I asked dad to come too, that’s easy to understand. He is the one with the supscription for the metro. If I take him with me, I can ride for free, you see! 😉

I had to wait patiently in the playground before the school, I can’t go in the building, you know! But one of mum’s library-students came to talk to me: she recognised me from mum’s calendar in the library! Isn’t that special?!! 🙂

Finally mum came out of the building! Speaking of a surprise! Think I start a new business: a surprises-business! Then mum had to show me her mailbox of course (books and dvd’s and newspapers and… arrive there, you see!). Off we went back home! Taking the tramway, tram goes under the ground, in the metro, later on!
Do your police-officers put advertisements for themselves everywhere too or is that only in Antwerp????

On our way home we met mister Plantin and his fish and other animals… Pity, my shark was not there!

I give more explanations with the pics, if that interests you, you have to click on them! 🙂

A proud van ’t Asbroek… with a bad hairday and soap between her toes…

Me and mum were up early today! Oh yes, we went outside for a run. That means: I run, she walks. But I would prefer her to tell me next time that there is a lot of wind. Not just a lot of wind, a big lot of wind!

We went to the beach. Part where the sea never comes, well, the sand was moving in big speed. We hurried away from there! That means: I hurried and did it quick, poor mum was slower… 😉

And the sea? Sea was a bit bizar, the sea threw soap foam on the beach! I got this soapfoam everywhere: in my fur, but also between my toes! Felt strange in the beginning but later I got used to it. 🙂
But my “coiffure”! 😦  This time mum laughed at me and my bad-hair-day! That’s human language, I call it a bad-fur-day! 😉

Mum was taking a lot of pictures of the beautiful sky and rather rough sea and of course of me, the proud lady with the ugly “coiffure”. 😉

PS Chef Maurice: you know what I mean, don’t you? I saw a pic of you with the same “coiffure”! And by the way: your mum is the only one with a complete correct answer! Congrats! 😉 Hexes mum was near too! 🙂

Inspection business:… balcony and plants are okay!

Yesterday mum was watering the plants on the balcony. Normally I don’t mind, but this time I thought it was time to do some inspectionworks! 😉

So I did. Made my work of it, surely when I heard downstairs neighbour-lady was outside. But she had no time to chat today! 😦 That was because mum forbid me to bark to get her attention! 😦
But I looked around and saw that the black new schoolbuilding is almost finished now. That’s a school for future sea-men! They surely will learn about the tides, won’t they, mum? Will they go in the river Scheldt as I do, mum?

Hahaha, Kita! No, don’t think so. They will be on big ships!

Why is she laughing at me? 😦  Anyhow, plants do great on our balcony! They have flowers! ❤ And bamboo is growing well, I measured it! 😉

Bloopblooptoot… and art!

This morning, very early, before all that rain, we had so much fun, me and mum! We were laughing all the time!

First we played with the coloured tail. Yes, I was in a good mood and I brought it back 11 times! Sometimes you have to please your mum. Surely when the treats are yummy, you understand? Then I started chewing on the thing and I had to give it back, it disappeared in mum’s bag. 😉

Then mum wanted a fototoot in my repaired dogpark as you can see in the pics. I did pose in funny ways and mum did laugh! So did I! bloopers enough, mum said, now a good one! hahaha, i just walked out of the picture! Hahahaha. Then I was tired of laughing and I lay down for a nice pic. 🙂

Off we went, back home. But then we passed by the new street art. Mum had the short leash and she had to hold it because of the traffic, difficult for good pics, but we have some. We were giggling again, of course! 🙂

In the end, in our street, we saw the orange humans, they are working in the trees! Me, I was jealous, could not go and help! 😉

An almost decent lady has a… breakfast-rendez-vous!

Mum, when do we leave? Is my fur alright? I was a bit impatient this morning! I had this breakfast-rendez-vous with Ernie, the Irish champ! Remember, the one who thaught me to fly! Finally off we went. With the car of course, that’s why mum and dad came too! 😉

We went to a place near the river Scheldt. No, no, not at home, up the river for about 16 kms (9,9 miles). There is a nice place to have breakfast. Ernie is a great guy, he is almost 9 now and he turns into a grandpa! Go figure: he fell asleep during breakfast! 😉

Afterwards we did a nice walk along river Scheldt. River here is smaller than in Antwerp! 😉 The men (Ernie and the 2 dads) went first. Everything safe? We ladies followed! (me and the mums). 😉
We saw street art too! Mum loves street art, I was more interested in the grass!

And then it started raining. We were all wet! My fur is waterproof: I am always “bien coiffée”. But mum had one of those “bad-fur-days”, hahaha! 🙂

At home, I had my nap, of course, after all these events, like a decent lady. (Mum often says I’m not decent enough, imagine that!) 🙂

Busy saturday… with fashionshow!

What a busy saturday!!!

1. Kita-Ten-Miles-running on the beach…. Tiring, that’s to understand for everybody. 😉

2. At noon: visit at the restaurant with mum and dad! Got a bully stick, me… a hard one! ❤ Weary too!

3. Big walk in the neighbourhood wit very, very big people… I’m curious, and that gets me tired too! 😉

4. “Coiffure”-time, mum said when we came home. pppffff… on that blue table… 😦

5. Fashionshow and fototoot with my new bandana… maybe humans don’t call me boy anymore! 😦  Fototoots need concentration… yes: tiring too!

6. I need a nap!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz… for the rest of the day, please!!! 😉

Kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitaaa!… klikklikklikklik!… tut tut tuuuuuuuuuuuuut!

Very often mums and dads in the huge dogpark and on the beach ask my mum how it comes that I (mostly) am very good in showing up when called! Mum says: training and she always talks about Pavlov too! I don’t know that dog and what he has to do with it!

This time, I’ll give you my version of the facts… 😉

When I was only a baby, mum called me with a higher voice: Kiiiiiiiiitaaaaaa… and I went to see her! Oh yes, if I went there very quickly, I got a treat! A little kibble of my breakfast or dinner!

Other doggies got yummie treats… When I was a teenager, I learned that you could act as you wish in stead of running when you hear: Kiiiiiitaaaa….! First result: other treats, but very small ones. So, I practiced again the “deaf girl”.

But then there was Lucien’s mum: she made a nice noise when the little boy did something wrong! I liked the sound and always went to see what happened. Go figure! Few weeks later my mum had that funny thing too…. She clicked or kind of ringed the bell and I always went to see her! I’m too curious, me! 😉 And best part, the nice noise always was accompanied by a treat! 🙂

But the klikklik-thing was rather soft and sometimes I was far away. So mum bought a whistle. She did klikklik and tut tut tuuuuuuuut at the same time. If I went there when I heard the two noices: two treats. Soon mum only used the whistle-language AND very good treats! Dried chicken!
The farther away I am, the faster I get back when the whistle-language is used… Yes, when whistle is used I ALWAYS get a treat!

And better: every mum and dad is jealous of me and my mum! We are a real team, you know! As a full grown lady, most of time, I check if my mum is all right and go back to her without her calling me? Treats too? Not always, but often…

Video shows it all! It is long though… with a blooper in the end!

PS Of course, there are bloopers! 😦 But only one on about 30 times, mum says… I even came back with my shark!

Big disillusion… shark is gone!

Last saturday morning I walked around with a fish, on the beach! Remember? Appeared to be a shark! A catshark or dog fish. I was all thrilled when mum explained that to me! It’s a pity grandpa Lennox is not here anymore so I could bluff about it. I’m not the little one anymore! 😉

On sunday morning we went back to the beach. From the moment mum got me off the leash, I ran like a rocket to the shark-place. I waited for mum and she saw it too: no shark on the beach… Maybe in the water? I took my chances and went for a look. I went all the way to a “beach-island”. There was no shark! 😦 I had a wet belly for nothing… Mum called me back, could not stay to search! 😦

Mum’s red thing did taktaktaktak…taktak… I picked the pics for a pics-story! 😉
