This morning, mum was in a hurry. So we did not go to the huge dogpark, but to the little one nearby. That’s allright with me, mum promised we would go to the huge one this afternoon.
Two doggies left when we arrived, never mind! 😉 I found something very strange! I found mushrooms! But the mushrooms were grewing in a strange form! I was sniffing and mum came to have a look! She laughed and said that I was in a witch circle. Wich circle?
No, Kita, a witch circle!
What on earth is a wichy circle? What is she saying, my mum? I’m bewitched now? She’s talking a little bit strange! What? Fototoot? I understand that! Yes, I’ll pose with the wichy mushrooms if you like! And I’m not wichy, really not! 😦
Becomig a city-aire-lady is not as easy as you might think! You have to learn and experience a lot more than running and socialising in a dogpark. Yes, that’s important too! So, dear Islay, I think this lady could give you some hints and advice. Today is about traveling by metro. I think you call it the subway! Read this carefully, my dear!
1. You may never take the escalator! That’s forbidden and dangerous. If there is no elevator, you take the stairs!
2. Going down the stairs you stay next to your mum, same step! Never pull on the leash or you and mum will fall and roll of the stairs! That is not the target! Nevertheless: be sure not to miss the interesting smells! Train your mum to patiently wait from time to time!
3. Arriving on the platforms always look around carefully: I remind you of this: you are your mum’s bodyguard! That permits you interesting sniffing at the same time! 😉
4. When entered in the tram, control the place carefully! Your mum’s safety is at stake! Than lay down for the lenght of the drive but be sure to take as much place as you can. Your mum will be gratefull, people won’t be able to bounce her! 😉
5. When getting out, be patient and let others go out first!
6. When going up the stairs you can stay one step ahead of your mum, to make place for her. This won’t lead to rolling down. 🙂
7. Bark or whine when necessary but please don’t overdo it! People will be mad at you! Aire-ladies don’t disturb people!
Well, dear Islay, to be sure you get the picture, we add a video with the instructions. Take the time to see it, although it is a bit long. And don’t get to dizzy or tired… 😉
Really, some days I must admit it… Some days I can’t do anything else than agree with my mum! Mum told me she found two new dogparks for me! A big one, a very big one and a little one. Which one do I prefer to explore? The big one, of course!
We had to walk a little longer! Pfff, hope this park is big, otherwise it’s 800 meters (half a mile) for nothing!
There we are! Euh, mum, where is the fence? No fence? Too big for a fence? Is this just like the beach? I can run free? I can run off the leash? Mum, are you sure? ha, that’s why she took the treats I like most! There is no fence, beach-treats! I’ll act like a lady! 😉
Kita, sit!
Free!
This is not big! This is huge, this is mega-big, this is enormous! My dogness! Where shall I run first? I even meet a new friend: Hodin. Hodin says we should come earlier, all friends are already gone home again.
Indeed, I have to admit it: she is right, my mum: this is a big park to run! I agree, mum! 😉
Yes, there is holidaymum! She often comes to the dogpark with the doggies staying at her place! Tonight she has 4 friends with her! Little Lily (who always escapes, so she is on the leash), Lokum, Sammy and… Soeka!
Well, I like this brown, big Newfoundlander-Soeka-girl! But when she plays, a small aire-lady has to be very careful not to end under her! I’m happy she is not in the judo-business and that she never heard about ippon. I hope she never mets Gitte so she won’t learn about it…
And she does a lot af talking! Mum filmed. I was so tired after some time and I only found one solution to stop her: I jumped on the table! 🙂 She did not follow! And I had some rest. Normally mum yells that I should get off but this time, she saw me and she did not yell. I suppose holidaymum said that I earned a bit of calming down… 😉 Anyway, I got Soeka’s admiration and afterwards, she stayed calm… oufff!!!
Ohlalala! What is going on? We arrive at the dogpark and everybody is running! Dogs are running: that’s normal, of course! That’s what dogparks are for! But… also the mums and dads are runnng! My dogness… I’m going to have a look!
Sit, Kita! Sit, are you aren’t running anywhere!
Aaai, forgotten… I have to sit before I can get off the leash. Okay, I sit!
Free!
What? Really? Farith got a rabbit and is eating it? And the mums want to take it from him? He runs, he eats and when somebody, dog or mum, is approaching, he runs! I agree with him: I should do the same! 🙂 … And we cannot follow him! 😦
In the end, he was caught and he had to leave his rabbit, poor guy! Mum was very awake this morning, she got pics… yes, she did!!!
Grandpa lennox taught me how to read the daily newspaper. You walk very slowly and you sniff everywhere you walk. Smells will tell you everything. Grandpa sometimes wants to comment (he pees…) … that’s the way guys act, of course. Ladies don’t. But that does not mean that I’m not interested! Of course I want to know everything! So is my friend Gitte. She is a Hovawart-lady, only 6 weeks older than I am. After grandpa, she was the first dog I ever met when I came to live with mum and dad.
We are the best of friends: we play together, we fight judo together (wich frightens often other mums and dads, not ours, they laugh!) and we make walks together! We also read the newspaper together! Mum took pics, we did not know though! 🙂
After the newsletter, there was strange action in the dogpark! There is Chiva, a young labrador-lady… She was drinking! Well, see for yourself: believe me it was kind of strange but it was funny! 😉
Few days ago, something was bit strange with my mum! She was looking on the tv-typing-thing… and she started laughing, laughing and laughing! Then she said that this was a cartoot about Kita!
A cartoon, Kita, a cartoon, my dear, hahahaha!
She really can’t stop laughing with this cartoot, my dogness!
And then, after all that laughing, she=my mum got me almost in shock this morning! Imagine this: she enters the room, while I’m still sleeping (this lady likes “les grasses matinées”). I open my eyes and the first thing I see is the blinking thing in mums hand! My dogness, she is filming!!! She opens the door to next room to let grandpa Lennox in but she goes on filming. Okay, she does what she wants… 🙂
I’ll get up, breakfast will come soon, grandpa says… 😉
And now, there is proof that the cartoot is about me, mum says. She only stopped filming to early, she missed my yawn. 😦 You only see my tongue come out when I start yawning. Well, that’s grandpa’s fault, he wanted his breakfast quickly and pushed my mum, so her finger pushed on the blinking thing… That grandpa!!!
Big surprise this morning in the dogpark! I made a new friend! I have lots of friends as you know. And I often meet new friends. Nothing new. 😉
But this one is a bit special! His name is Didi (comes from Didier). This young boy is 8 months old. No, that’s not special! But!!! He is a mix of a Sharpei and… an airedale! Isn’t that special? Boy is coming from the shelter, so he is a rescue-doggie! Nobody wanted this sweetheart untill his mum saw him! He is a sweetie and very happy with his mum, but as an airedale, he is… stubborn. I heard his mum tell it to my mum.
We did play fine, but yes he is a bit stubborn… if he thinks it’s time to stop playing, well, playing is finished. Then we run a bit… 🙂 That’s fine for me too! 😉
Mum is still busy with this cleaning spring, euh, clean springing…
You silly little one: spring cleaning!
So mum is still springing and cleaning and some times she does not want my help! I’m of good service though. 😉 But if I get a buffalo-skin-chewing-bone, I forget helping immediately! Grandpa understands, he says. But he says I still have to learn to chew as a lady! He can not stop laughing with all my silly faces he says! he says I start civilised but it gets worser and worser… He said he would get a laughing-illness one day, looking at me chewing!
Mum saw it too and got the blinking thing of course. She says this is a real fototoot, as they make for fashion magazines. Grandpa grouched I can call myself happy there is no magazine for silly faces! Gggrrr. He always has comments! Mum made a dia-show. I don’t know what that is, but she laughs a lot with it! 😦
Grandpa said he does not understand where mum thaught to gain some time, giving me a chewing bone… Really, my grandpa gets old, mum did not gain anything, I was the one gaining!! A chew bone! 🙂
Okay, here we go again! About my thriller-loving family…
Since short I have a cousin over there too! A little gentleman of about 5 months old now, I think… difficult counting the months with all these puppies around… and time goes fast! His name is Sunny.
Before he gets at the age of my uncle Apollo he will have a lot of zippers, I think. A month ago, this big-little bandit (he really is!!!) was quicker than a lightning! He really was! At a BBQ, before anyone could have seen it at that fast speed, he could lay paws on something with a bone in it and swallow it at the same time. His mum and dad even didn’t have the time to yell the “Leave-it”-command. 😦
At the – even faster – same speed this bandit-guy was taken to the green clothes for SURGERY! He got a zipper, bone came out and put far away so he could not find it when he woke up, hahahaha! He could go home a few hours later… And did heal very quickly! 😉 What he does is in speed-tempo!
Cousin Sunny did not learn his lesson! He is always watched with all Hawk Eyes around: he is still the guzzler of the family. But he is such a sweet and loving boy, his dad always says! ❤
Well, my mum is very pleased I don’t have a big zipper yet from swallowing something… 😉 Mum and dad of uncle Apollo, auntie Pim and cousin Sunny are very, very happy to have some super-efficient and caring green clothes: they are the ones writing the happy ends at this thrillers! Mum and dad Van ’t Asbroek joke about it: we should take a subscription at the green clothes for ten surgeries with the eleventh for free!
My mum says she hopes everything will be fine for a long time, without zippers! 😉
