Newsflash… about a special day!

Mum says that March the 8th is a very special day! It’s an international day! This day is especially for women (only)!

So, being a lady myself, this aire-lady wishes all the mums around the world a very happy International Women’s Day. Now already for the friends at the other side of the world and later on for the friends here and at the other side of the ocean. That’s a bit difficult to understand for me but in this matter: if mum says so, it must be so! I agree! 😉

Enjoy the day, ladies! 🙂

International Women's day

International Women’s Day

Yes, a bottle!… Euh, where? Spooky, this bottle!

When mum was getting the little film of me and Holly off the blinking box, she was laughing a lot! She found a film of me of that same day, but early in the morning! She said it was funny!

She showed me! Well, I think it was not to laugh with! I was playing with a bottle. I explain what happened! I found a bottle in the water of the sea! Mum said it was rising tide and I had to be careful. So I wanted to take the bottle out of the water to play with. But it was stuck! I was pulling and pulling and pulling. Nothing worked. Then I taught I should be clever and bite the top of the bottle! Didn’t work neither! And then… the bottle disappeared! Gone!!! I looked and looked and I could not find it!

And mum? She was filming and laughing!! She said this was very lively… I don’t think this was funny! Bottle was gone! And me, I could not found it… little stupid for a dale-lady… no?

But I found another one! 🙂 A big one! Another bottle and another problem… water was to deep, this lady hates a wet belly! 😦

Look! Look!… Me is dancing!

First of all: Happy New Year to you all… see my previous post with all my new-year-dale-wisdom-and-wishes in it!

Last big little thing – read: adventure –  of 2013! Mum and her friend and the both dads and ME (of course!) were going to a little concert in the afternoon of the 31st december, on a little Christmasmarket. Grandpa stayed at home, too much noise for him, he says…

Music was great, all from the sixties the mums were saying. Don’t know what sixties are but the mums were singing with the artists. The dads not that much! 😉 The mums gave a good example so I was singing too! Not a very good idea, mum was not too pleased…
Mum gave the blinking box to the mum-friend and we went near the singers… AND… we were dancing!!! People were very amused and if you have a good look, they were even filming this famous aire-lady… 😉
We only have pics, the blinking thing was “on pics”!!!

This was a great afternoon, I told everything at grandpa… He did laugh and said I was a special one, sometimes: bit stupid and funny: he never heard of dancing dogs if not in a circus! I told him that mum was as funny as me… he laughed!!! 😉 Me was tired… slept untill 2014!! 🙂

Antwerp-Christmas-tour… for my far away friends!

On thursday night, mum’s holidays started. And the holidays of her collegues too! The met in the evening in Antwerp to have a drink on the “Grote markt”, near the city hall. And guess what? I could come too!

We made a large trip on foot, get off the tram few stops earlier, to admire the lights everywhere! Light, lights, lights… Mum says that’s because of Christmas. Christmas?
Is that a doggie, mum? Don’t tell me it’s a cat!! No dog? No cat? What is it? Oh, a big feast! Are there treats for doggies too at this feast?

Okay, so we walk in the city that’s ready for Lightmas!

Christmas, Kita, Christmas!

Okay, Okay! Lightmas! I show you around in Lightmas-Antwerp… Have a look at the pics with comment… Mum had the blinking box ready, this time… 🙂

Shopping?… Here I am!

Where are we going? I see it! Yes! A petstore!
What does she say, my mum? Féline? What about Féline? Is my sister  in there?

No, silly Kita!

Oh, we’re going to buy something for Féline! I understand. We go in! Lots to see and snif! Up there, mum, up there! The combs with the rolling teeth! 😉 I prefer that kind of comb! I really do! When my mum combs my paws, with the long hair and curls, and with lots of dirt in it… well, I do not feel anything and I keep still. The old cam wasn’t that nice. Oh no! Me is satisfied about the combing now! 😉

I told my sister Féline who told her mum who told my mum and now we go to our petshop to buy that comb everyone was talking of! 😉 Nice idea! The sir in the shop is a nice guy who gives treats to the visitors! The dog-visitors! Mum got nothing! 😉

Kita enters the… Puppy Joy

Since long, I know my mum is a bit special, she has nice ideas but not the whole world thinks the same way… And now she is at the tv-typing-machine and she says: what on earth is this all about? A puppy-war? She does not understand so she asks another mum…

My mum is against War, she really is! Even if it is a puppy war, a little joke, meaning all puppies send their pics to the tv-typing-machine, she does not agree with the word: ALL pups are too cute for this War-Word!…
I’m a little anxious…Mum, you will send my pics, will you? Oh, she says, she will but she wants to name it differently, she says she will call it: Puppy Joy… that’s a lot more friendly and peaceful… and a lot more like puppies… Told you: mum is stubborn!! She wants it her way! SIGH… but she is looking for the pics! Yihaaaaaaa!
Really mum, you are stubborn but this time, I agree! 😉 Puppy Joy!

Can’t see it very well… but it is brand new!

What a stupid idea! No, to start with: it is a wonderful idea! Mum bought me a new collar! I was still wearing my puppy-collar! Tell me! I’m a lady now. So I get a new collar. I’m proud about that. Mum puts that brand new collar around my neck, a black waterproof one!

Mum, listen, nobody will see it! Can’t you wait to put it on? I have too many curls and furry coat now! My friends want see it! That’s a shame!
She is stubborn, my mum. She does not listen, silly idea to put it on now.
Well, they’ll have to wait for me showing my brand new collar… untill “t-day”! 😉 Then you will see it very good! 🙂

Wednesday… Humpday? No!!! Sisters-day!

Today it’s wednesday! My overseas friends Ike and Sam of Wyoming call it Hump Day! Don’t know what that is, but they often wish me a happy humpday! 🙂 And the gang of four in the UK (Molly, Monty, Taffy and Winnie), they call it Silent Wednesday!

Well, for me, this wednesday it’s “sisters-day”. Okay, I explain it to you! Today my doggie sister Féline and me, we have an oppointment at a big Park in Antwerp called Nachtegalenpark. (Park of the nightingales). By the way, our mums may come too, of course, they know each other too and get along very well, since we sisters were born! Féline and me were born on the 29th of january in 2011, and our doggiemum is Funnygirl van ’t Asbroeck.

So we meet in the park and go for a walk! Beautiful weather for this time of year! Many other parkvisitors were looking at us, airedale-ladies. Yes, we know it folks, we are special! And yes, it is even more special to see two of the same kind! Have a good look! This does not happen every day, here!

When the mums get tired – not us! – we sit down on a terrace and the mums have a drink! Mum said I was restless because I did not want to lay down. She was not very pleased. Then at once it starts raining, not just a bit, but it really was  raining cats and dogs. Did not see them fall, these cats and dogs, what a language, mum, this English! – Should’t you say this in Dutch?

We hurried inside! Féline and me we liked it there, we had our personal televisionset! (See the pictures!) After a while, I finally got ‘settled’. And the mums were talking and drinking coffee! Afterwards we went for another walk and mum took the blinking box… of course, for a fototoot!

Kita, fotoshoot!

Well Féline, this was nice! See you next time! Keep doggie-cool and healthy in the meantime! kisses from Kita.

Lots and lots of airedales!… In the pictures! :-)

A few weeks ago, my mum got a present! A present of an airedalelover! And when I say an airedalelover, I really mean it! You know: this airedalefan is the human mum of my doggie-mum Funnygirl! The human mum and dad of my doggie-mum have airedales for more than 30 years! Lots of airedale-babies are born there! I am one of them, so is my sister Féline. And we are very proud about that!

Once, in the street, a man said to my mum that this girl (me!!!) is a very beautiful airedale! 🙂 🙂 He also said: I’m almost sure her “second name” is ‘Van ’t Asbroek’. My mum was so surprised and said that indeed, my name is Kita Van ’t Asbroek! The man was in a hurry to get on the tram and he disappeared… no further explanation! 😦

So my mum got these pictures with so many airedales I even can not count them (yet). – Maybe later I can… 🙂 Will ask my grandpa Lennox if he can…
Mum is going to do something with them, put them in something… Anyway, she’s going to put them at the wall on the first floor, she says. Aha, I maybe can play with all these friends??? I can jump against the wall too!

Don’t you dare, Kita! No jumping at all, against the wall!!!

Anyway, more pictures when it’s ready, mum says.

Hihihihihi… hahahaha… snel, sneller, snelst!

Zo gaat dat! Loulou heeft een groene bal. Een gekke bal! Een gekke, groene bal met grote, gekke, witte tanden!
Ik ben snel, ik ben sneller, ik ben het snelst!
Hihihihi! Dus ik heb de bal! 🙂 [I’m fast, I’m faster, I’m the fastest! I get the ball anyway!]

Hahahahaha! Ik hou de bal! 🙂 [I’m fast, I’m faster, I’m the fastest! I keep the ball anyway!]

En dan? Dan is het zo: mijn vrouwtje wil de bal. Mijn vrouwtje loopt van me weg! Oei, wat nu? Gauw gaan kijken…
Ze is snel… 😦
Ze is sneller… 😦
Ze roept! Ik ga! Bal in de hand? Snoepje? Snoepje pakken! 🙂 Bal los en in de hand.
Vrouwtje is het snelst… euh… het slimst??? 😉 [I’m the fastest, but my mum is the smartest! I have no ball anymore!]
