Yes, I can! I finally do it!… And you?

I have a very funny mum! She teaches me lots of serious commands, but sometimes also funny things. Grandpa Lennox says we do silly things and dad laughs! but me and my mum we like it!

When she puts her tongue out of her mouth and then back in, I do that too! That’s funny, she says! She says I ‘image’ her!

Imitate, Kita, imitate!!!

Okay I Image her, she says. And now, I learned a brand new thing! Mum closes one eye and then she says: ‘Pink, Kita!’ (pink = wink, for the foreign friends!)

Mum, I can not do it! My eyes close at the same time!! I cannot ‘pink’! But then, we were on a walk and we were resting. Mum sat on the bench and I sat next to her! Mum was ‘pinking’ (=winking) all the time! Saying: come on, Kita, wink!
And then! I did it, and did it again, and again! 😉 🙂 😉  🙂  😉  🙂 😉 Mum laughed and was happy about it but she said it’s a funny sight, I open my mouth! 😉
Mum even took a picture!

Mum says we still have to work on it because it does not work every day… 😦 She enlarged the picture, so you can see it very good!

A ‘big’ day!… Real big!

Today was the ‘big’ day! Believe me!

First of all my mum took this very big bag! A bag on wheels! Normally that’s for going to the supermarket! She leaves without me, with an empty wheels-bag.
Not today! She fills the bag! And then we all leave together: the wheels-bag, me and my mum. Don’t like that too much… What’s the plan?

Mum explains we go to a special park… Well, that sounds good! But my goodness! This park is big and special!!! It’s full of boxes, but Jesus, these boxes are big! Real big, they’re huge! What do I say, they are gigantic! You can walk around in them if you want to! And they’re made of metal!
Mum, I’m a tiny, little bit afraid! But I’m curious too, of course, as I should be as an airedale-lady! Can I go on the stairs? Yes? Oh, no, rather not.
But this shovel smells good!…
All the stuff of the wheels-bag go in the big boxes, different boxes…

Okay, we go home! Mum, look! Very big buildings over there! We are small, aren’t we? 😦
And here! Mum, look? This flowerpot is really big, no? Too big to put on our table at home!

This is really a ‘big’ walk! 😉

Let’s take a walk… on the wild side???

Okay, first my grandpa Lennox, I know it. I’ll stay in my bed. See you in a minute! Euh, what does she say, my mum? Do I have to come too? We go together? We go both, at the same time, with mum? Grandpa Lennox and me? We go together for our walk with mum?

What’s going on? When we go out with dad, we go together, yes, my grandpa Lennox and me… but not with my mum! Lennox goes first for a short walk and then it’s me for the long walk! 🙂

Okay, there we go! We go to the park to look at the pond. That’s nice. We like to sniff there! Always new smells… grandpa Lennox says this is our newspaper and internet at the same time. He knows lots of things, my grandpa, really!

Yes, grandpa, I know I should not hurry or pull on the leash, you’re less “wild” then I am… we take it on the easy side today! 🙂

Mum has the blinking box for pictures, that’s nice! Grandpa does not want to sit to pose for a “fototoot”? Fine, I’m always in for some rebellious action: I don’t sit and pose neither today! 😉 We just keep going, don’t we, grandpa? 😉

I missed it!…. I really missed it!!!

My mum went to the supermarket to get some food. Yes, you understand immediatly I could not come! Dogs not allowed! 😦  I was at home with dad and my grandpa Lennox!

Mum came home and you know what she told? She met one of my doggie-family-members! A daughter of my grandpa Desmond and Femke. The lady is three years old and her name is Jara. Jara Van ’t Asbroeck! Mum was cuddling her, I could sniff that! And she did not take the blinking box, so no pics! That’s a pity! A big pity! A shamefull pity!!! 😦
When I go out with my mum, we never meet other airedale-ladies and dale-sirs! The one time she goes out alone, yep! I tell you, it’s a shame.

Mum says that maybe we’ll meet again! That would be lovely!

Same day we did a long walk, that was nice! Mum took a pick of me before a special place. I was not that interested, I was more interested in her icecream! 🙂

We also saw a boat on a house!! Not in the sea! In the air! On a house! You tell me! Strange day: missed the airedale-lady, got almost nothing of the icecream and boats flying in the air???!!!

Stupid rules?… Stupid leash!

Okay, my grandpa Lennox and me were very pleased we went to the seaside to cool down some time ago, during the hot days here in Antwerp! But we love the beach even more in winter!

What do you ask? Why? I’ll explain it very clearly to you! In summer, dogs are not allowed on certain parts of the beach. That’s normal: too many humans, too many human kids playing, it’s full over there. No place for playing and running dogs!
The happy news: some parts of the beach are for dogs and humans (the mums and dads, 🙂 ).

The bad news: in summertime, dogs must always be on the leash, also on “their” beach! In wintertime we may of the leash on those parts of the beach.
My mum had a very good idea: she bought me a very long leash! That’s a special thing! Never saw that before! Listen to this: when I run, it’s getting longer, when I don’t run it’s short… However: I don’t like it that much! 😦

Mum filmed me, and the leash, on the beach! Don’t like the leash! Only when I found the ball, I completely forgot I was on the leash! You see that on the movie! 😉 The movie moves! 😉 Because I was pulling without knowing! hahahahaha

Rain?… I don’t care…

Yesterday I was at holiday-mum’s place, my grandpa lennox too! Mum and dad went to a big wedding. I don’t know what that is: even airedale-ladies aren’t allowed to come! Imagine! Anyway we were having fun! Don’t tell my mum what the mischief-actions were this time! I ate the cat’s food, I went upstairs and spent some time in holiday-mum’s bed (yihaa-at home I can not go into the bedroom!) and played with a plastic bag, euh… ripped it in pieces. 😉 But sssstttt! Don’t tell mum!!! 😉

Today, at noon we went to the left bank of river Scheldt… had to leave early over there because of the rain! I saw it coming and warned mum and dad, so we were just in time in the car!

Afterwards we went to the dogpark in the rain. Me and mum do not care about rain! I had the tree for me alone! 🙂
We also took a walk in the park. This Sunday the Sunday-park-party wasn’t successful… almost nobody was there! Lot of empty chairs! And… my cuddlingfriend of last week? Could’t find him! 😦

Look at this… we’re big (car)friends!

My grandpa Lennox and I, we never sleep in the same bed. I mean: we never sleep together in the same bed! Yes, we did some times, long ago, when I was a baby-lady. But my grandpa does not like it, so I sleep elsewhere!

Just one exception! Yes! We sleep in the same “bed” in the car! Haha, we have to! Mum and dad attach our harnesses in the carbelts. Already told so long ago! (https://everydayanairedale.wordpress.com/2012/09/25/gareeltje-plus-gordel/)

So, in the car we are in the same “bed”. That’s allright, we like that because we know after that sleeping, there will be some fun!! 🙂

To the vet’s?… Oh no!

What does she say, my mum? We go to the vet’s? To the hospital? Mum, really, I’m alright! I don’t need to go there, really! Just listen to me! Wafwafwoof!

Oh, she is stubborn, my mum! We are on the way to the vet’s. We take the tram and we go on foot. Don’t like this at all. Maybe it helps if I’m a very good girl. I sit, waiting for the tram. I make no noise, really no noise on the tram (sometimes I whine a little bit if people pay no special attention to me 😉  ). Nothing helps! We enter the vet’s hospital!

Euh? What does she say to the woman at the reception? Lennox?? Something’s rotten in the state of Denmark: she brought me, Kita, not my grandpa Lennox! I bark! Oohoh! That was not good! 😦

Again? Lennox? Oh, my goodness: my grandpa Lennox needs new bottles of his kidney-medication and I have to go to the vet’s? Who understands this???

Bet I have to sit on the scale, to see my weight within a few seconds!

Kita, come on, I want to know your weight! On the scale!

What did I say? I’m a lady so I do as I’m told! Mum is very pleased: weight is allright: 22,500 kg. (For my overseas friends: 49 pounds=lbs) What do I say? Weight is perfect! Just as it should be! The dad of my mum Funnygirl will be proud if I tell him that! And the vet too will be satisfied. I’m spayed 2 years ago, whatever that is, and I have to do lots of sports and running to keep a healthy weight. Diet still not necessary! I’m one of a proud lady and so is my mum!

You see it, mum? I'm allright and my weight too! ;-)

You see it, mum? I’m allright and my weight too! 😉

Park-summer-party… yeeeh, cuddling time!

How come this? Grandpa Lennox is not coming with us? He goes with dad somewhere else! To much noise? To many people? Where on earth are we going, mum?

We are heading for the park, not the dog park! The human park. Dogs are allowed there, but on the leash! I don’t understand why humans are not on the leash in the dogpark, me! We would have more fun, more mischiefs to achieve! hahaha! 🙂

Anyway, we go to the park, its only about 50 meters from home! Another bizar thing: dogpark is 250 meters, human park is only 50 meters from home! 😉 I’m not complaining though, really not. We live in a city, so a park and a dogpark nearby, that’s very nice!!

My goodness! So many people, and so many chairs, and so many tables, and really, so much noise. They call it music!

Hey look! Somebody is calling my mum! That mum knows my mum from the library where my mum is the librarymum! Bit complicated, no? Anyway, they are surprised and glad to see each other! And that mum has two human boy-pups! Seems they like me. They ask very polite if they may cuddle me! I’m wagging my tail: yes, yes! Mum, please, say yes!!!

Oh, yes, cuddling-time! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Enjoying life… a wise lesson, grandpa Lennox, yes!

It was a very hot day today! More than 35°C! Tonigt temperature was a little bit better and we went to the dogpark!

Grandpa Lennox says a dog should enjoy life here and now! That’s mindfull, he says! That’s wise, very wise! My grandpa is old and wise! 14 years and 2 months! And he knows! He’s the oldest dog at the dogpark and he is the big boss! We listen to him, surely when he barks!

So, tonight, we enjoyed life and had a great time at the park, we stayed for more than 2 hours! My mum made many, many pics… just an impression! So, you too can follow the advice of my grandpa: enjoy it, here and now! 🙂
