Surprises?… Yep, at least one!

Mum says today starts the surprises weekend for Gotcha Day. I’m quite curious and excited!

Well, my dogness, there is at least one surprise already to mention! This morning, my dogness, I did not have to go to the river Scheldt on our walk, the river came to me! First I thougt the sea came to see us, but mum said it was just the river, pushed by the sea from for away!

This was fun, really! It starts good, this weekend! Mum was a bit afraid, but I was not! We went to the bunker too… dangerous place where I stood some time ago, was gone!!! My dogness!

River Scheldt has some Spring Fever! Me too, by the way… mum is filling my suitcase… My dogness!!!

Run free, Mano, run free! … Repose en paix, mon ami Mano!

A very sad news was on the tv-typing-machine yesterday evening… 😦

My French friend “grandpa Mano” went to the Rainbow Bridge a few days ago! Something was very, very wrong is his head, mum told me. Does that happen to all dogs older than 15 years, mum? Don’t you know? Why not?

So my friend Mano can get together with my grandpa Lennox. Mano was a grandpa too, he became 15 end of last month! You know, my grandpa and Mano, they knew each other quite well! They knew what to talk about: Mano was a rescue too! He was still a teenager when he came to live on the farm! He was a real runner! His running business was famous in all the neighbourhood! He always told that he could follow a car in his young days… barking all the time! 🙂

We still played and ran with each other during Christmas holidays!
Well, go on running, Mano! ❤  Run free and say hello to my grandpa Lennox, will you? Tell him I’m all right! ❤ Tell him too that I’ll do my very best to beat you both and get older than you without head-issues! 😉

I savait courir, lui!

PS Mum added also some pics of grandpa and Mano when they were young… 🙂

My dogness… Mum in the wood-business??!!!!

This is incredible! Mum is in the wood-business too! You do not believe me… You’d better believe it! I can prove! This morning when we came from the huge dogpark, mum was collecting sticks! Go figure!

Most bizar thing? I could not chew on them. All the way she was saying: poor things, and so beautiful. Maybe she was a bit right (just a bit!)… In my wood-business, the wood is dead. But these sticks...

Twigs, Kita, twigs!

So these sticks are still alive. They just fell from the trees because of the naughty wind! Yes, mum, I agree, we will help them. We take them home and rescue them. Grandpa would have loved this. ❤ He knew all about rescues, didn’t he? Me too now, I rescued the sticks with the nice red tails! 😉

Oh yes… big disagreement this morning!

Morning walk today!! Goes like this!

Mum, we live in a beautiful town, don’t we?

Yes, Kita, we do!

Look at the right bank! Cathedral, Boerentoren, Oudaan, and at the other side: the MAS. Look how beautiful! All this very high buildings!

Kita, I don’t see anything! Too much fog!

Mum, but look, I can see it all! You should look better! I even can smell the river! I know your nose is not as good as mine, but your eyes are all right! You even have a second pair of eyes on your nose!

Kita, too much fog! Nothing to see!

Mum, don’t act as a stubborn airedale. Just look! Now! Mum, now!

Kita, stop it, I can’t see the cathedral. Too much fog!

Well, clean those second pair of eyes!

Then I did ignore her and went to the flowers… In the end, I think she saw something because she got the blinking thing ready and made some pics! I even went on ignoring, no posing today! What is she saying? She will prove to all my friends she is right and not me? My dogness, what a stubborness! 😉

Hurray for the city-gardeners!… Wood-business is great these days!

Yesterday morning was great! Morning walk was great. We did not go to the huge dogpark, but we went near river Scheldt. Love that too! And yesterday, my wood-business was terrific! Thanks to the city-gardeners who did a lot of work. It’s spring here, you know. Early in spring, and then wood-business is the trend!

Most spectacular?! City-gardeners left all the wood for me to inspect. They know this city-lady has wood-skills! And experience! 😉 Had quite some work to do though! But in the end I was really satisfied and happy! Great work done!
I even posed, smiling, for a nice pic!

PS Dusty and Maurice, you see what’s in the background???

City-lady Kita goes in… urban sciences.

When we return home from the huge dogpark, we take a shorter way. I want to show you something special! In Antwerp most of the humans love animals: lots of fenced dogparks and the huge one where me and mum go now. But doggies live in the house with the humans!

Humans live in apartment buildings in our city, big buildings with lots of houses! Well, here in Antwerp pigeons have their own apartment buildings! They have their own house in a big building! Yes, they do! And on the ground they have their own restaurant: white bowls with grains in it and their own bar: white bowls with water! 🙂

Me? I like to sniff around over there but I do not frighten the pigeons. They stay where they are when I’m passing by! 😉 Nice neighbours!

PS The only low building you see in the pics is… the public library of our district! 🙂

Deep holes?… Not my cup of tea! :-(

For a saturday morning we were very early at the dogpark. I was up early, so mum was up early too! ( 😦 )

At first there were no friends, so I was running around, found a ball and inspected some holes. Think I have to find an interim inspector for the holes, to replace me in this business… It’s not my cup of tea, really not. 😦
That’s what mum says, she laughed and filmed… I think ball-business is more like me… 🙂

She promised, my mum and… she did!

This is a very big fototoot! Remember my mum promised to go to the Scheldt with a long leash, so I could wet my paws in the river without mum falling and sliding down in the water too? Mum kept her promis! We went there twice! Once when tide was low, that’s what the promise was about and once when tide came in and was high! That’s to show you the difference! 😉 And for my pleasure of course.

Mum made a lot of pics: blinking box was in a very good mood. At least for the pictures, it did not want to film though. 😦 Mum, fans can imagine the film, can’t they, when they see how I climbed? I was in the stone-climbing-business which is more difficult than tree-climbing! I was acting as an acrobat, mum said… Think she was a bit afraid…

Dangerous acrobat!

What do you say mum? A dangerous fototoot? Not to repeat? Why not? I think it was exciting! 😉 But I agree: inspecting the bunker at high tide, we will not do it again! 😉

Celebrity?… It stays in the family! ;-)

Nothing new, but I want to repeat it and tell you about it! I already mentioned my family is very famous. Lots of my aunties and uncles and my grandpa and my mummy are very famous airedale ladies and sirs. And about some of them, I already told you in particularly! Nobody, Desmond, Apollo (Pol for the friends) and my mummie Funnygirl…

Today I want to tell about another sir! He is my uncle! My grandfather Desmond is his father! Well: Harry van ’t Asbroek is quite a guy! One of his dads is a very famous person in Antwerp! Not only in Antwerp: he is known in the whole world, at least the fashion world. Because his dad is a very well known and succesful fashion designer. He works here and in Paris. Of course he is often interviewed. Now there is a very big exposition about his work here in Antwerp, so lots of interviews and articles about the famous man!

AND this time there was an article and a very big picture in a magazine! Not only of the famous dad but also of Harry van ’t Asbroek, my uncle! Tell you!!! And guess what? Picture has been taken near our home! Mum made a pic of me at the same spot! So you can compare! I’m as proud as possible!

Is our family famous or not??? 🙂
