Teaching about… the inspection business!

These days are quite busy! I have a lot on my mind you know! There is this française at our house now: sissie Lizzie! I can assure you she is a paw-full for me! 😉
Because she is only one year old, she has a lot to learn! And not only because this little sissie is only one year old! She never heard about all kind of businesses! 😦

My mum was a teacher before she became a library-mum. And here they say: once a teacher, always a teacher! If there is someone who can affirm that, well that’s me! So, I know how teachers act, hahahaha! 😉

My human grandparents died more than 30 years ago. We sometimes go to visit them in a bizar place: lots of stones and little paths.
This time I had to present sissie Lizzie ❤ to them, but I also had some inspection to do! There was this very big plant behind the stone. It had to be removed, people of the town hall told so.
And another man did the job, so I had to inspect! 🙂

Gave a great lesson to the française! She never saw a cimetery, so first lesson: act subdued! Do not bark! Don’t pull on the leash! Be silent. That part was very okay: my sissie is not stupid, that’s for sure! 🙂
Then I showed her how to inspect everything. Well that took some more energy! In stead of doing a thorough job… wel you can see in the pics… she preferred to lay down with this incredible face: is this how I do this? 😦
Still lot of teaching-work to do… I can assure you! 😉

PS Before pics are of last year and the year before!

New … morning habits!

Mum, listen to me! There is no heat! It is autumn, you put on a coat! Don’t talk about heat!
That’s what mum and dad are talking about… ‘heat’ or something like that. It has to do with the française! 😉
Mum says that is why we don’t go to the huge dogpark but to the little one. When my friends are there, we even don’t go in! Go figure! All because of this heat-thing. I really don’t know what happened to mum and dad: putting on coats and bonnets in the morning and then talking about heat! My dogness, these humans are so unpredictable! 😉

Anyhow, when there are no friends, we go into the little dogpark. I mind less these days when there are no friends because of the française. She keeps me busy! My dogness, she does! 🙂

We play all kind of games. This morning we got a ball! Because I’m a lady I gave it to Lizzie, of course! We ran and played! About the running business, Lizzie has a lot to learn to become a lady! She runs like a kangoroo! Hahahaha. 🙂 Proof is in the movie! 😉
We had fun, anyway!!

There is news… and there is news!

Dear grandpa Lennox

Yes I know, I do not write often enough… but that is because you always say you know everything at the Bridge! 😉
This time I write you… just in case you missed this news! 😉

Listen very carefully! I am no longer “the little one” in this household. Although mum says I will always be! As you said!

Anyway, there is another little one. Yes, she is smaller than I am (you were too, remember!) but she is also younger! She is one year old! And you would like to hear this: just as you she is a rescue! ❤
I couldn’t pronounce her name correctly! Mum and dad were a bit irritated, but in the end, they agreed (as very often, I get it my way, hahahaha) So, we call her Lizzie! It is a bit different from Lilly, but she likes it more! She comes instantly if you call her with Lizzie!
You see, mum and dad understand that I am the one knowing best concerning dales! 😉

My little sissie Lizzie is  a special one, with special manners! Grandpa, you would not believe your eyes! ‘La française’ is a real daddy’s girl! As you were daddy’s boy! Don’t be jealous, it is all right, we will NEVER forget you! ❤

It’s fun to have her here, but some moments I prefer to be an only dog, really, and than I act stubborn… Mum says that ladies know better than that, and maybe she is right, for one time… because I often forget to be grumpy and I’m the one challenging sissie Lizzie to play, hahaha!

Grandpa, and there also is this: she took my bed! Yes, you burst out in laughter now… I know… I always took your bed… My turn? Mum says history repeats itself! 😉

I also send you some pics, just in case you don’t see her too well from high up there, at the Bridge! ❤

Big hugs and love ❤
Kita Van ’t Asbroek

Bad news and good news… circle of life!

Sometimes I tell you about my family! You know that! And as it is often in life, I have to tell bad news sometimes. About 10 months ago I had to tell you about my uncle Pol going to the Bridge.desmond12-240x324
Well today I have to tell you that my grandfather Desmond Van ’t Asbroek went to the Rainbow Bridge! 😦 He probably is making funny jokes now with my grandpa Lennox… They were really that kind of guys! 🙂

And surely he is looking with lots of love and proud to his great-grand-children and bluffing about them to my grandpa!

Just born babies! They are the babies of my cousin Many Roses, she is a granddaughter of my grandpa Desmond  too, you see! I know we have a big, complicated family! And my uncle Klassico (Chico for the friends) is the grandpa of the babies! 🙂
To difficult for you? I know, I am a genius in these family-things! 😉

But just have a look at these babies! Soooo cute! And so many!!! 11!!! Much more then expected! A few of the little guys still look for a later-on-home and mum and dad!

Look at the pics! Mum, listen carefully to me: I want a scarf like these little ones! What? Only for babies? I had one as a baby? And ladies don’t wear baby-scarfs, that’s true! 😉

What a day: my grandpa Des to the Bridge and then he has this 11 great-grand-children… My mum calls this THE CIRCLE OF LIFE…

I like this! … I really do!

My doggiemum’s human dad said it is not good to wash a dale lady too often… I agree! But I like it though, although it is only twice a year! We do not talk about my paws now, I can assure you, my paws are washed almost every day, some days even twice! 😉

No I am talking about this lukewarm water that falls softly on your back, and first water smells a little bit and gets me clean, mum says… But then all the other lukewarm water! Oh, yes, it is lovely! Grandpa loved it too! he did! So do I! ❤

And then comes the shaking time! Mum says: Schudden! (Shake!) And then I shake and the water is flying all around! (have a good look at one of the pics!) Then she takes a towel and rubs me dry… she tries… I can shake again! 😉

Best part? I go in my little house for half an hour and I get this delicious bully stick and another treat to clean my teeth! 🙂

I will tell about it… boring or not!

Me and my mum, well, we often disagree! We often go to the huge dogpark and I always want to tell about it and show pictures!
But mum says that my friends will get bored of always the same pictures! 🙂

Anyway, today, she gave in and I can tell and show! Lots of running and playing, of course! ❤

On the way home we met a bunch of schoolkids with their teacher. One was pointing at me and yelling: look a schnauser! I turned back and looked at the kid and even gave a small bark! All this noise! 🙂
Mum said: Nooooooooooooooooooooo, an airedale! Teacher repeated for the kid: you hear it, this is an airedale terrier! 🙂 Great teacher! 😉

Euh??? A new street… IN our street?

Noise, trucks, more noise, big holes, more noise, many workmen… my dogness! These last 2 weeks it was busy in our street! 😦
Why?

There is now a new street in our street! You don’t believe me? You are wrong! We really have a new street in our street! I admit, it is a little one! 🙂
And not completely finished but almost finished! 😉

Should I explain? In a few weeks, there will not any trucks pass by to collect garbage bags. No, the men are not on strike. We get a garbage street and a card. With that card we open a big box in the little new street and we put our garbage bags in it. 🙂
In the little street, which is called a “sorteerstraatje” = “sort by street” are different boxes for different garbage. You can’t put paper with plastic, you see? You should sort it out in advance! I know that since I was a baby! White bags, blue bags, green bags… all gone from now on! 😉

I’ll update you and show you when the boxes are there! 🙂 Anyway, I did a thorough inspection at the making of the street, what did you expect? 😉

This saturday morning?… A tiring one!

This morning we made our big walk early: it will get warm again, you know. Me and mum don’t like that!

At the end, almost back home mum asked if I would like to pass by the little dogpark. Of course, I always want to go to a dogpark, small, medium or huge… a dogpark is a dogpark! 😉
Immediately I turned to the right. Yes, yes, I know where the dogparks are! 😉

Well, my dogness!!! There I met a new friend, a little boy friend! That little friend is a smous of 1 year old! His name? Venteke. I tell you, that’s a bit special! Venteke is a Flemish word for Little man, at least in spoken dialect. 😉

So I and venteke played! That one is quite “movable”. He jumps the whole time! On my back, ove my back, on my head, around my neck… my dogness, that one is tiring but so cute. I let him do as he wanted, I’m a lady, you know! 🙂

PS Proof in the pics and the movie… a little part of the movie is a bit less ‘clear’ though! Anyway, you’ll have a good laugh, as did my mum! 🙂

September… we love september!

Before she was a library mum, my mum was a teacher! I can see that. Once a teacher, always a teacher! 😉

Anyway, in that previous teacher-mum-life she was teaching French and lots of other things, but that was later… 😉
So my mum loves French songs. So I told her to film on the beach in this september and make my friends listen to the song of Septembre and the song of our Pays plat. ❤ This time, she obeyed tout de suite! Note that somewhere. 😉
Normally it is the other way around: I have to obey her!! 😉

So she filmed, but she did not film the most important, as always!! 😦 My dogness, she never learns! What did she miss? I was running as a fool (yes, this lady can run as a fool) to something very far away that got my attention. But really far away! Mum said later she did not see me anymore! Then my worried mum uses the whistle-language. So I had to hurry back. And I did… but I was so far away that I was very tired of it and I had to lay down when I arrived… Your fault, mum said, but I got my chicken treat after all. ❤
How far? Back and forth more than 1 km! We know because mum walked the distance afterwards and her little step counter told so! 🙂
She said I should not restart… 😉

So I did some little lady runs for the Septembre-movie and some training exercises! 🙂
