Visit to an other dogpark… a huge one!!

This time, it was my turn to be not too pleased with my mum! No, she did not chew on my toys… are you kidding! She forgot something!

Last saturday we went to an another dogpark after the visit at the petstore! The dogpark is a little bit far away, we did go there by car. But, my goodness: it is a very big dogpark, a huge one! Althouhg it is in town! My mum took pictures with the blinking thing and then she forgot to share them. So you do understand I was not pleased when I discovered… 😦

So I talked to her and she promised to post them tonight! And now we are again the best friends ever! 🙂 Gave her a lot of wet kisses! 😉

Look for me on the pictures… 😉 I ran everywhere!

Hey, wat fijn… een nieuwe vriend!!!

Kijk, vrouwtje, kijk!

Mogen we nu spelen? Komaan dan! 😉 Dolle pret!

I’m walking my dog… that’s me! ;-)

My mum loves this song very much: I’m walking my dog (Nellie McKay). And my mum is walking me around… 😉 So this song is about me! You see: a song about me…  and in fact about EVERY loved dog! And about EVERY mum and dad! 🙂

Mijn vrouwtje houdt van dit liedje: I’m walking my dog (Nellie McKay).

Vermoeiende ochtend!

Dixie, wat zeg je? Laatste keer naar de wei? Einde van de vakantie bij de logeermevrouw? Oh, wat jammer! Jij en Eva gaan straks naar huis? Sapristie!

Vrouwtje, vrouwtje… de vakantie is voorbij! Dixie en Eva gaan naar huis! 😦

Antwerp sightseeing… guided tour for my foreign friends! (part 3)

Today my mum has to buy something for her human sister. Therefore we go to the old city of Antwerp.

Mum, will you take the blinking thing with you? Then we do a ‘fototoot’ in the city!

A photoshoot, Kita, a photoshoot! That’s a good idea! Be a good dale, then, will you?

Yes mum, I’m an airedale-lady, you should know that! My mum says the weather is to misty and cloudy for good pictures. But we are here, so she makes them anyway! We had a lot of fun, I tell you everything with the photos.

One very special thing to mention for very special fans: There were a lot of people of your country on the Handschoenmarkt, they were looking to the story of the dog. When mum and me passed by, everyone asked if they could make a picture of us, of me of course!!!, with the story, told in their language. So, there will be a lot of Kita-pictures in your country, soon! But none of them persons got me a duck :-(, as you did! 🙂 By the way: I still play with it!

So we did a tour in the city! Lots of people remarked me being an airedale and came to say hello! I was very pleased and was an excellent girl: I didn’t pull on the leash, not once. I even didn’t jump up… oh, yes just once, but the madam made me do it… 😉
My mum, she was surprised?!!! Wonder why, she should know I’m a lady! 😉

I even waited gently for the last one of the French fries at noon! I lay down and waited politely! I was proud of myself, I have to say that!

And now, I’m taking a very long nap… zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Me? Training my mum and being a good airedale-lady… in a castle!!!

Sunday and we get up that early? Something is in the air!… What is she saying, my mum? A fast break in a castle?

Breakfast with friends, Kita! In a castle: Kasteel Rivierenhof!

Never mind that fast break, we first go for a training she says, so I will be a good girl…
Okay for me! I like these early trainings when we are alone in the dogpark. Never train this way when there are other dogs around! Yes! Why? I teach my mum to throw a ball!  I teach her that she has to throw it as far as possible. She’s a good learner! And me, I’m the youngest one of the two of us, so I do the running and the fetching! You understand that running and fetching is nothing for my mum, of course!

Until few weeks ago I didn’t understand the fetching-and-bringing part, but since I know I have to train my mum’s throwing, I bring her the ball back in stead of running further away. Without bringing no throwing… and no treat for me!!! 😉

Good girl! You’ll learn it! Great! 17 times! That’s for our record-book! 🙂

And now we are at this huge house, a castle, and mum and dad and the friends are having that fast break. I have my little bone. When we leave our table to go out and sit in the sun, the humans at the other tables are very surprised to see a beautiful airedale-lady leaving too! I was a very good girl, laying next to my ‘breaking’ mum!

I’m quite proud of myself… On thursday, this morning and in the castle my mum was very pleased with me and my good manners. Why on earth do you wonder, mum? I’m a real airedale-lady!! 😉

And the winner is… ???

Ah, wat een vondst! Gitte, kom kijken!!

For the German friends: scroll a little further for a version without music, 😦 that will work overthere…

Today? … A superfantastic day!

Today I had a “rendez-vous” with Kato and Jaimie, two Irish Woulfhounds. But their mum was ill today, so they weren’t allowed to come. Weather was good so my mum said we could go anyway…

She often has great ideas, my mum (and often not, when she is stubborn!!), but today’s idea was supersplendidfantastic! What did we do? We went to a place, a very very very very big place the humans call Linkeroever.
My mum never wanted to go there as long as I didn’t ALWAYS came on her command! Because that place is very big, has no fence like other dogparks in town and dogs can get lost there… or killed if they run to the highway… My mum knows that I don’t want to loose her or I don’t want her to be killed by a car and when she falls in the water, well… 😉 – So I did agree: mum’s safety first! 😉

After almost  two years of training (really necessary, I admit!) with the whistle-language… (tut-tut-tuuuuut means: come now here as quick as you can), I was already off the leash at the seaside a few weeks ago. And I behaved as a good girl, a very good girl. So finally we went today to that place all my friends talk about!

And me???? I was the best girl ever! Mum was so proud of me and all the compliments she got of other mums and dads saying I’m such a nice and lovely and cute dog and that I obey so well!

I barked once to say that I’m not just any dog: I’m an airedale-lady! And I was real proud of myself! 😉

Today? Ippon… and Kita-cuddling-day! :-)

This morning was rather rough! In the dogpark, my friend Gitte had lots of energy, too much energy… lots of too much energy! The judo-wrestling of today was complicated! But after a few moments I was out with an ippon!
My mum, this time, had the little blinking thing ready so there is a proof of this ippon-situation! (see below!)

But at noon, the human puppy of my mum came over for lunch! Well, pup… the human pup is already 26 years old… She has two dogs too! Shasta (malamute) and Goofy (Berner Sennen). But they didn’t come with her today. That’s a pity! Anyway when she comes, that’s cuddling-time! Oh, yes!

After lunch and dinner (at coffeetime) I’m allowed to cuddle, I can get on the knees of my mum or dad and look around over the table. But I may not touch the table! Mischief of the day: I put my head on the table. And nobody said a word?????!!!!!!!! The cuddling went on! Just once, my mum said! I know that word: just once! 😉

I was soooooooo happy with al this attention and cuddles (Not that I don’t get cuddles all the time… ;-))  … so the rest of the day I was a very, very good girl. Mum was proud of me in the store: I did not bark, I sat down and waited when she said so, I didn’t pull on the leash on the way home, not one moment! Mum was soooooooooooooo happy too! She said she thinks that one day, I’ll be (maybe) a perfect aire-lady.

That’s what she hopes, yes! 😉
