Great promise… even greater fun!

Grandpa Lennox remembered it, me too – when he told me! My very wise grandpa understood it faster dan me, of course! He explained when we were in the car! Mum and dad promised to take us back to the seaside in autumn or in winter! Then we could run on the beach, off the leash, she promised! Yes, yes, yes! We did!

Mum made herself a promise too, grandpa said. He did hear her say it: one day I will go to France, with Kita, on foot, on the beach! Well, she did! All promises in one weekend!

Mum and me we went from Belgium to France, and we came back too, of course! On the beach, I could run free, off the leash… At least, most of the time… I did a little stupid thing of course… Yes, I’ll explain it! We were meeting this man and his two dogs. Dogs and dad both very friendly! Explaining we already were in France and that we still had one kilometer to go to get to Bray-Dunes, first village in France.

I played with the dogs and they told me there was some fresh fish on the beach. Of course mum did not understand our dog-language (one day she finally will end up following dog-language-courses!!!), so when we went on, I carefully sniffed! And YES! Found the fish!
I didn’t (want to) hear mum’s whistle-language which called me back! 😉 When she arrived I just swallowed the last part of the fish! She did put me on the leash immediatly! Mum was so surprised she forgot to take a picture of the other fishes!!
And off we went, away from the fishes, in the direction of Bray-Dunes. On the way back, she smelled the fish in time and she said: no more sushi-restaurant-visit for you Kita and did put me on the leash for a while, untill we came at other interesting things… 😉 Sometimes she is quit stubborn and clever, my mum! 😦

Anyway, we visited lots of things, you can see them in the pictures! We walked 8 kilometers (for the foreigh friends: 5 miles). that’s a lot for my mum and she says I did the distance three times by running all the time… That’s why I was exhausted! 😉

Weird dogs… even for an airedale lady!

We go out for a walk. That’s nice! Long walk in the streets, lots to see and to sniff!
I get a bit thirsty and I want to drink a bit… but… I’m really afraid. 😦

Two big dogs are around… near the waterbowl! I bark, they do not move! My grandpa Lennox does! If I bark, he gets up and I can go in his bed! 😉 And then he takes mine. But these dogs don’t move. Mum laughs! She laughs a lot! She takes the blinking thing…

Another little comic, she says!

Last news:… cars ‘playing’ in the dogpark!!!

What is this all about? Mum, look! What’s that over there? Shall I have a look or not? Can I go closer or not? I explore the whole thing… and mum makes a real fototoot, a bit of a comic! Have a look!

8 october 2013?… This was fun!

Today was a bit of a special day! Although it didn’t start like that. Just a normal morning: dogpark, breakfast, mum off to work, nap. Bit special: mum got a parcel at the dogpark of Gitte’s mum. Didn’t pay too much attention though, it was nothing to eat, no treats…

But then a package did arrive, not for dad, not for grandpa Lennox and not for me! Nobody touched it. So that must be for mum. Then I secretly had a look at the tv-type-thing and I knew! This is a special day: it’s mum’s birthday today and everybody all over the world seems to know! 😉 Even dad! He went shopping and brought special birthdaybiscuits for this evening.

Finally mum came home! I ran downstairs immediatly! Mum opened the package and smiled! Her French friend knows she likes the seaside! And gues what? I can play with the cardboard! 😉 🙂 Yihaaaa!!!
Mum tells she got a very sweet e-card (what on earth is that?) from the Aura-people! There was an airedale in it! (I understand that word!) Anyway, I don’t know what an e-thing is, but if it is with an airedale, it must be great.

And then the human pup came over too! On a tuesday night! Fun! They were talking about papers and studying and “databases” (and what on earth might that be???)and I had to lay down and be quiet. Less fun! 😦 Bit difficult too!

Finally mum is before the tv-type-machien and says that my friends from all over the world are whishing her a happy birthday! She says that’s very amazing, she never got that many birthdaywishes in her whole life. She repeats all the time: my goodness, my goodness… I think she means: thank you very much everybody in the aireworld and the rest of the world!

When do we repeat this birthday-thing, mum? Tomorrow?

Kita, are you crazy? Time goes fast enough as it is!

Ohohoh!!!… Very handsome gentleman!

What is mum saying? We go home? We are in the dogpark for more then 1,5 hour? Think mum is very mistaken! I think we are here for ten minutes or so.
What else does she say? I played enough? Mum, really, you make another mistake! Can’t play enough, never! That’s clear, she is not an airedale, my mum. Only mums tell such stupid things. You’ll never hear an airedale-lady say she played enough!

And surely not when there is a very handsome and gentle gentleman around! Really, mum, Drago is so much fun to play with, and to run around with. And he does not climb the tree, yet, I should teach him! Yes, today!!
Drago is a mix rothweiler and Stafford terrier, he’s six months old. Yes, maybe a little bit young for me, I admit, but he’s a great guy! He’s so soft and friendly and gentle! Grandpa Lennox says so too!

Newsflash: Today is … “werelddierendag”!

Today, the fourth of october, is a special day! At least in Belgium! My mum says she thinks that it is the same in other countries. Why call it “Werelddierendag = world animal day = journée mondiale des animaux” if it is not celebrated around the world??? Guess she has a point there! At least this time, which is not often the case… hahaha. Hope she does not read this…

So everybody out there in every continent: in America, North or South, Australia and Antarctica, Asia, Africa and Europe: enjoy this day! Hope for all the fur friends and other animalfriends, that there is something special on the program! 😉

Have a nice weekend! Mum choose some pics, made since the World animal day of last year and now! Have fun!

Mum says… this is for all the friends who asked…

Oké guys, my collar is a bit of a success, says my mum. She says a foreign friend thinks I’m a red, low flying UFO! Waaauw! That’s me from today on: an UFO-airedale-lady! Waaaauw, wooofwaf, I’m proud of my collar!

Mum, let’s go out, it’s dark, I want to ‘ufo’!

What does she say? I first have to show you the pics of my UFO-collar! And mum says I have to tell it is a little bit expensive. About 20 euros over here. For my overseas friends: mum’s tv-type-machien did some calculating: 27 US-dollars or almost 17 British pounds.
She says I have to be careful with my UFO-collar! 😉 Of course I will be careful, this lady wants to stay an UFO-lady in the dark!

Come on, mum, I told everything you asked, we go out to ‘ufo’! 😉

Very flashy… can’t fool mum anymore! :-(

My goodness! My dogness! This is… well, it is… it is… flashy! My new collar to go out in the dark? Dog, dog, dog… this is special! Worst of all: I can’t hide anymore! I can’t fool mum anymore! She sees me everywhere!

I run to the left, I hide at the right… she sees me and calls or whistles me in the correct direction! That was different before! I could go anywhere in the dark without being seen! I could dig without being seen! End of the darkness-fun!

Mum, why grandpa Lennox does not have to wear this? Only me? I am the lady, you know!… I must admit, I’m the runner and the one who disappears in the dark too… Maybe that has something to do with it? 😦

Film and pics as usual… ;-( of me in the dark… A dark film, my mum says!! Well, what did she expect, really?!! 😉 You see the lights of the buildings and the street, but the red moving light? That’s me!!!

We get… bananas!

Just have to tell this quickly before my mum wants to work on this tv-type-thing! I think Ernie’s mum has very fine ideas! I really do! Listen to this!

My grandpa Lennox and me, we sometimes eat things we find in the park, especially rabbit droppings and other ‘s…’  … Mum does not like us to do that, that’s mum! We like it, she doesn’t!! 😦
Ernie’s mum told her to give us a banana every day and we won’t do it anymore. Nice advice, very nice advice because we like bananas! We love babanas!

So every day we get a half banana each! Not a whole one! 😦 Anyway: better a half one then no banana at all! See us, mum had the blinking thing to see us waiting! 😉

PS Mum remarked this morning that it works! We eat less rabbit droppings and other s…. Do we, grandpa Lennox?

Me?… Best detective ever!

This time I have no idea where we are going. We go with the car, that’s for sure because I get my harness on and we step in! 🙂 Mum sits next to me, as always when Lennox is not coming. We like that! Cuddling time! 🙂

Where are we now? I have never been here! This is a shop I think! I look around before we go in! Look! A big dog at the entrance: a german shepherd… Where is the airedale? We go in!

My goodness! This is a petshop! And a very big one! A really big one! Yihaaaaa; Wagwoofwaf. never been here! Wafwaf!

Kita, shut up or we will be put out! Sssstttt!

Wafwafwaf! I’ll be quiet! First we choose a collar with lights for me! Within a few weeks it will be dark soon and mum wants to see where I am when I’m off the leash in the dogpark. She knows since last year I can hide very well! This one? Really? Even my overseas friends will see me! 😉 🙂
While dad looks at other collars and leashes-stuff, I may look around, my mum says! No need to say that 2 times! 🙂
I’m sniffing all kind of good things! (Mum watches me!!! only sniffing is allowed – ggrrr)

Kita, find your dinnerfood and Lennox’s too! Be a detective, my girl! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Euh, what does she say? Why is she laughing? Does she think I can not do that? I’ll show her not to mock with me! I step around sniffing! I stop: this smells like the chunks of my grandpa Lennox! i look at mum. Does she see I know it. Yes she does! What an incredible face she makes! hahaha! She puts the bag on the car! She almost does not believe it! Told you, mum, not to mock with my nose!
Now i still have to find mine! YES, YES, YES… these are defenitely mine, I get almost in the hole, on the bags. Mum really is surprised! Hahaha!

Me? Best food-detective ever! 😉
